Enjoying some summer camping !

Well, we got out and did some summer camping, it was great for awhile, quiet mostly and the food was great,
.

.
We found a nice tent and headed out to Whetstone Gulf for some Woods Time which was overdue.  It was a beautiful night, almost a full moon and sleeping was great and restfull.

My Honey taking a break from setting up camp.
.

.
Above Breakfast was eggs, Canadian bacon, toast and it was a great start to the day.

.
I am making toast over the fire for breakfast.

.
Anna Mae is making Home Fries , we had to but a new cook stove, the Old one was a Winchester Cook stove and was 38 years old and it finally gave  up the ghost and quit.
.

.
Lunches were good, on the table is a bag of fresh lettuce we got right out of our garden.
.

.
Anna Mae and I played cards, "Cribbage" and enjoyed the evenings with cards, walks, quiet time and we enjoyed our couple of days,  we could not stay because the people across from us arrived with 2 large dogs, the one dog, I believe it's name was "Boomer" because they were constantly yelling Shut up Boomer, quiet Boomer, etc, etc, I spoke to the park officials about the constant barking but they did not do anything about it .  The occupant of the site was in the Army, had his wife, 5 kids and 2 dogs out camping, I told him his dog was bothering the people all around him with it's constant barking and asked him to keep it quiet.
.
He didn't keep the dog quiet, I didn't want a problem so we prayed about it and left him there and we left and came home a day early..
.

.
We made it home so Tuesday night we could go and play at Country Manor Nursing Home for the residents.
.

Don't forget our Veterans this "Day of Independence" !

I hate it when people are rude like that. Glad you all had some quiet before they arrived.

We are seeing more and more campers that do not know campground etiquette. Probably one of the worst aggravations is barking dogs. The only time I have ever called the police (base police) was because of a dog. We listened for 3 hours 11PM-2am with a constant yap yap frequency. AMAZING folks can put up with it themselves.
But the first days seems like the camping we used to do and love. the Shhhhhhhhhh sound of the campstove the smell of coffee, bacon or ham. WOW I loved it.
Your table looks great.
Would you believe 16 yrs in the navy and I never learned to play cribbage? I wish I had. I have a new cribbage board, cards and instructions in the basement and have never tried to learn.
Love you guys, sorry about the dogs. sometimes you don't know whether to shoot the dog or the owner. hahahahahaha, (well I think about it anyway!)

Oh it looked like a wonderful camping trip that is until the 2 dogs and 5 kids came, ekk...I can't stand inconsiderate people and the dogs should have stayed home!! Looks like maybe going home was the right choice and playing music...Hopefully y'all will be able to go camping again without the noisy obnoxious neighbors!

I'm sorry your camping bliss was interrupted by the neighbor's rudeness. Looks like you got a little relaxation in there ~

That camping made me think of when Ken and I used to camp before we got our camper. That breakfast looked good. I loved the smell of Bacon cooking. I don't blame you about leaving early. Older folks just can't cope with rude people.
