Family Reunion

Right now it is raining and 74 degrees, we spent the day eating talking, taking pictures and enjoying our yearly Family Reunion which was today.

.

.
We played this week at the new Summit Hill Assisted Living and Nursing Home.  Brand new and very nice.
.

.
We enjoyed ourselves and the residents did also !!!!!

Above is Karl and Patsy, Roger and Peggy, Anna Mae and me, these are the gals who haul guitars, speakers, cords, books and whatnot in and out of places we play to help us ease the load.
.

.
Above is Jim, Janice, Beverly, me and Roland, brother Ronnie was home and couldn't make it, missing is brother Donnie and Brother John who recently passed away and were sadly missed today at the Wood Family Reunion.
.

.
.
On our way home 2 motorcycles came upon us traveling fast and got on my rear bumper, they were trying to pass me but cars were coming and the shoulder was rough, directly behind them was a State Trooper with light's and siren on so I pulled over and let them all race by!!!

.

.
A short ways down the road the Trooper had the 2 bikers pulled over, not visable in the picture is State Police Cars across the Road so these 2 had no where to go.
.
Kind of gave me a few Flash Backs of some of my chases!!!!
.
This week marks the end of the Korean War, don't forget our "Veterans" !!!!

We have had to stake up the peas and thin the turnips and tie up the tomato's in our # 2 Garden at the Daughters.
.

.
We have had fresh lettuce from Garden # 1 at West side and it was great on sandwich's,  everything is growing OK!

Happy 4th of July

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July !!!!!!
I went to see my brother who was back in the woods at his Hunting Camp.  It is also a great place to park your camper and enjoy nature.
.

.
I was in the Navy, my younger brother Ronnie was in the United States Marine Corps. "Once a Marine, always a Marine", Ronnie was shot up in Vietnam. End of story as he does not talk about it!!  He says he did what he was asked to do!  He is one tough brother and I am very proud of him.
.

.
We rode around the property which is near where he and I grew up, hunted and camped and played on, in the back ground you can see a large elec. transmission line.
.

.
Ronnie, his wife Paula, My Honey and Me and 2 of Ronnies many grandchildren.

.
Paula behind the wheel of her buggy taking anna mae, hayden and lana out thru the woods to hunt for lions, tigers and bears but only seen a few wild baby turkey chicks.

.

.My brother cooked us a delicious Prime Rib on the grill, home made Baked Beans with bacon strips, Macaroni and Cheese, Croghan Bologna and cheese curd and we ate like Kings and Queens.   We told stories, shared memories about the recent loss of our 2 brothers, and all in all had a great day!!!!
