It's Hot

Heat and I tolerate each other, I have to be careful as having a prior Stroke and Heart Problems the Humidity and Heat can wreck havoc on my system.  So sitting here in the Air Conditioning I look back a a few pictures to remind me not to complain too much !
.
.
Here I am above outside wearing a mask, long underwear, insulated coat, gloves and boots cleaning off the car to go get groceries after it has warmed up for 20 minutes.

.
.
Anna Mae checking on our first snowfall last November which was over 2 feet.
.
.
This was in January of 2016 and we got a lot more.
.
.
Above is the street in front of West Side Terrace,  snow has covered the roofs of the buildings behind the fireman who are digging down thru 4 feet of snow to get to the Fire Hydrant, most people snow blow and help keep these clear during the winter.
.
.
This is an example of what happens when you do not hire someone or go up and shovel off your main roof or side roof or car port, there is a lot of this during the winter and a lot of claims are turned down by insurance companies if you did not attempt to clear your roof.

.
Everyone stay cool, enjoy the summer as it is going by way too fast !

ROAD TRIP Cranberry Lake

We decided on a "Road Trip" !  We packed the Kia and hooked up the Camper and traveled us thru the Adirondack Mountains to Cranberry Lake.
.

.
We arrived and set up camp,we took a No Power site and ran off our Battery Pack, we also put up the half/oval canopy that goes on the new camper, we struggled a little but figured it out after a couple tries, it was very hot and humid..

.
The awning is black and part sits inside the camper and it is held in place by pressure.  either can tie it off to 2 stakes or to trees which we did with rangers permission, * (some) parks don't want clothes lines or tarps tied to trees !!!!
.
.
It was hot and muggy, we were lucky we had a breeze.
.
.
We did some hiking and enjoyed ourelves and Nature, Deer Flies were horrible, e did see a momma deer and her spotted fawn but didn get her picture.  trails here are nice!
.
.
We ate Good, relaxed, enjoyed a nice heavy rain storm which is badly needed as it is so dry up here farmers are loosing crops.  Glad we were able to get out and about.

DON'T FOGET, REMEMBER OUR VETS!!!

Sad Day

Today we laid to rest my Nephew, Roderick Francis Brown, he was just 56 years old,  Rod was swimming with his 2 Lab Dogs and some friends on the St. Lawrence River,   as they all were coming out of the water Rod was missing, they found him floating in 2 feet of water, their was a doctor, an nurse there but they were unable to revive him, they thought he drowned, an Autopsy showed he died instantly from a massive Heart Attack.
.
. This my oldest sister Janice and her children,   Rory, Kenneth, Janice, Rod and Gina Brown.
.
I assisted Rods Aunt doing the service, Rod was creamated as per his wishes, and he was placed in the Family Plot in the Family Cemetery by our family homestead in Pond Settlement.
.
Pastor Lori did the service call, I sang "Mercy" and we closed the service with people telling their favorite story about Rod.
. Afterwards a lot of people walked the Cemetery and said Hell'o to everyone buried there.     We had children climbing on Head Stones, people going to their cars bringing back water jugs and watering flowers, pulling weeds, picking up papers and trash and wandering, crying, laughing and finally we went back and placed Rods Ashes/remains scattered in the Family Plot.
He will sadly missed by this Uncle.
.
.
this is my Borther in Law, Ken Brown, RIP, his grandsons RJ and Cory and my Nephew Rod who we laid to rest today !

HAPPY CAMPERS

We loaded up the gear and packed our Mess and headed out for a couple days with Nature and mainly to spend some quality time with each other.
.
.
We went up to The Tug Hill Pleatue, My honey worked hard setting up the "Camper", she did it by herself.  She wanted to be sure she could do it in case I could not.
.

I am sitting in one of our new chairs, it's a Zero Gravity Chair from Walmart, we ordered them on line and they were shipped right to our front door, they are very confortable.  I am taking it easy while my Honey sits up camp,.
.
.
We are set up for a few days to relax and enjoy Mother Nature, this park has no fishing but is cool, we have started to relax.
.
.
Anna Mae relaxing by the fire enjoying her new chair !!  Resting up from setting up!!
.
.
Dinner was delicious, fresh lettuce from our garden, Grilled Pork Steak covered in Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sause.
.
.
Nice evening fire, walked around the Park and it was a beautiful night,  we even went out and saw several sattelites ciricling overhead and millions of stars and the Big Dipper!
.
.
Morning with Fresh Perked Coffee, Eggs, Slab Bacon and Toast to start the day and then off for a walk to help wake up, terrible night trying to sleep due to some medical issues.
.

Spend the day walking, relaxing and played some cards. Worked on sorting, removing and adding items to the camper, stuff we didn't use last time came out and we added a pad to the Bed.
.
.
We went over to the Creek and relaxed in the Ice Cold freezing water, the temp was 89 degrees and the water felt good.
.
.
Supper was delicious and we ate good but I am trying to keep the 20+ pounds off that I lost from my dieting.
.

.
We had a few days of Hot, Humid days, temps up to 89 and nights were muggy but our camper had air conditioning we used only once.
.

.
We watched a storm roll in from the Tug Hill Plateau, we spent the evening packing up tarps, awnings, stoves and outside items, went to bed early, It started to raid cts and dogs and really poured, got cool and I slept like a baby.  We were all hooked up and in the morning we simply made the bed, Jumped in te KIA and drove for 25 minutes to Lloyds of Lowville for a Pancake an Sausage Breakfast and headed home, in the rear view mirror is was cloudy, black and pouring, we got home to Sunshine !!
