Puttering Down Cellar

Well, feeling a little better, it is Raining "Frogs and Tadpoles" so I headed down Cellar,  Cellar, Basement, Lower Level, on a split level it would be 1st floor or Garage.    I am gonna call it in modern terms my "Man Cave" !

.

.
I have to go slowly downstairs and find myself sitting down more as I tire easily while on this antibiotic !
.
.
This is the drainage for the House, must be my OCD as it has bugged me since we moved in so I tackled it today, took me quite a while but "got er done" !
.
.
I had to sit on the floor on a pad to paint this but it didn't go too bad, just took time !
.
.
This is the next section to paint the walls, I have to remove the peg board, my desk and paint it  then move everything back and find someone to run me an electrical outlet down the wall as I do not do electricity !
.
.
The last section is going to be is to take down these shelves and paint behind them and again run an electrical outlet down the wall,  There are many outlets but all on the ceiling rafters.
.
.
The food storage area is going to be tackled by my Honey as it has gotten into a little disarray by someone!!!!    These shelves are built in so will stay there and we are not painting this area.
.
.
My Honey right at it getting rid of the green paper mill color !

Season Changes

Like the old saying goes, "Baby it's Cold Outside" is fits the past couple days !  We have so far had 3 "Frosts" !

.
The Lawn has a very pretty sparkling glimmer on it until the sun shine hits it and the frost leaves, you can litterly watch the Frost leave as the sun rises.
.
.
The Car windshield shows the last frost this Sunday Morning   but the sun came out and it was gone after a few minutes in the sunlight !
.
On the way to Church this Morning it is evident the Seasons are changing by seeing the Soft Woods as they are usually the first ones to turn coat and change leaving the warm temperatures behind !
.
.
. We got to Church and I forgot last week to turn on the heat, So it was a  good thing we were early so I could turn on the Heat to warm it up,  I was the Speaker and Rader this Morning.  I didn't have my Mask on Yet as there was no one was there yet !
.

.
.
This is what I am supposed to wear when I come in contact with a Large Gathering of People.
.
Glad to see Jack from Shipslog:   http://shipslog-jack.blogspot.com/ back up and running, looks like him and His Honey Sherry are getting squared away down in Florida !.

IT'S DONE

We can say, "It's Done as the Back Deck finally is finished !  We have the second coat of stain done on the  lath on all 3 sides,

.
We used a good quality Stain, $$$$$$,   it worked well going on, dried to a hard set and we waited a couple days and then put on the 2nd coat.
.
.
I used a Roller on doing floor of the deck,
.
.
I rolled it but I know that if I could have used a nice "Mop" an "Cadillac"  I could have Swabbed it and done the  Dance and used nice figure "8's" and been done quicker !!!!
.
.
Going on but wished I had a longer knap on the roller to get down between the Planking !
.
.
My Honey putting on a Matching coat of Stain on the 8 Chamber Purple Martin House we salvaged from a neighbor who was gonna throw it away !  it has 4 units on each floor and has 2 floors !
.
.
Deck is done so now we move on to other Projects as the weather is cooler !

My Honey working on the Spindals and railing on the Back Steps.
.
Front Steps are Grey and don't match what I wanted so there going to get painted.  I worked out front while My Honey finished the railings !
.
.
The steps took 2 coats to get the color we wanted but they look nice !
.
.
Steps done and the Carpet didn't come our Red, LoL !!!!!
.
.
There is the Lath Stained, sides done, steps done, and all that is left is a second coat on a couple places to darken the stain and then the Deck Floor as soon as it gets to an 80 degree day and they are forecast !
.
.
My Honey digging up and transplanting Glad Bulbs she got from her sister in Oregon !

Out an About

We decided at coffee this morning that since we didn't get out to dinner for yesterdays 31st Wedding Anniversary we were going somewhere today.  WE're GOINING ON A DATE !
.
We jumped in the Car and headed for the River, we went to Alexandria Bay where we stopped, parked and walked the streets, (with Masks) and then went for Lunch !
.
We went to Admirals Walk restaurant for lunch,   It was OK, Alex Bay is a Tourist Town, Has a Hospital, is on the River but with the Canadian Border Closed there is not as much foot traffic and it was not hard to find a parking spot even though it is the start of Labor Day weekend.
.
.
We had a Nice quiet Lunch and watched the Tourists walk around and come and go !  Notice my Honey does not have on her Glasses.
.
.
After lunch we decided we had seen all we wanted to of the Tour Boats, Traffic and Pedestrians.  Alexandria Bay is a nice place to Visit ! Click here to see it...   https://www.visitalexbay.org/
.
We left the Bay and drove down by the Saint Lawrence River which seperates Canada and the United States to another River town, Clayton.
.
.
Directly behind My Honey over her right shoulder is Canada,  Boaters are not allowed to cross over into Canada and the Canadians cannot cross over into the U.S.
.
.
Behind me is an Island which is in American Waters and the Border in on the other side of this Island, There are over a 1,000 (Thousand) Islands around here in the River. Click Here to visit... https://visit1000islands.com/
.
.
Normally where I am standing on the Clayton Public Docks these would be packed full of Canadian Boaters tied up at these slips and everyone downtown spending Money !
.
.
We had a Great Day, Enjoyed our "Date" !   Now headed home.
.
Well need to go check Jack and Sherry Blog the Ships Log to see where they are now on their return trip from going across Country !.............      http://shipslog-jack.blogspot.com/
