" Dragging Behind" !

 WoW,   This Covid is rough,  I have had: Colds, the Flu and this one is rougher, It seems to sap your strength !     I got up and just feel like I didn't go to Bed, still tired.

I went down, (Slowly) into the Basement and applied a nice Dark Cherry Stain to a nice piece of 6 foot 1 X 12 I am gonna put up for a shelf in the Laundry room !    I was barely able to use a brush and coat both sides and edges and that was enough for the morning.  Too Tired to do more !

I do take a lot of naps and drink lots of fluids as these Covid Medications are very Strong !  Each dose is 2 types of Medication,   2 pills are nirmatrelvir, 200 mg and 1 pill of ritnovir 100mg and I take 3 in the morning and 3 at 6pm !  

.

My Honey is as sick as I am, We did mamage to both carry the shelf up and managed by some cobble work to get the shelf up and the plants moved, just took some time and a lot of brakes.

The other project we worked on was a small leak in the 4 inch cast iron sewage pipe.    I got some JB WELD and we mixed it up and put it on !

.

Eventually this section will have to be replaced but the grey artea on the u on the left and the grey area on the joint on the right are plugged !

.

Thats it, we quit for a while.

.

This Bug hampers your diet as you don't feel like eating !

.

Also Driving a Vehicle is exhausting !   I an my Honey find ourselved falling asleep in our chairs a lot abd an early bedtime is about 9PM now.

The other "Big C "

 Well, I skated thru for about 3 years scott free, used my Masks, kept my distance and washed and sanatized my hands and avoided crowds.

.

I contacted "Covid",  I mean full Blown Covid,  My tests were Positive and my wifes was Negative.

.

.

Called my Doctor and Cardiologists and they called in my Drugs I needed to fight this.

.

.

The Paxlovid is a bombo of 2 pills and a third pill, taken twice a day for 5 days,  the other Pills behind the front 3 are  my Heart Medications, colestrol, Acid Reflux,  I was taken off 3 Meds while on the Paxlovid.

.

This Covid is a "BUtt KIcker",  I nap a lot, have no strength and nothing tastes good,  also the meds leave a awful aftertaste in your mouth.

.

I called the Pharmacy where I got all my Shots and talked with Pharmacist,  As near as she can figure and my Docgtors can figure I contacted Covid the Same Day I got my Booster Shot which made me so sick.

.

Yesterday My Honey Tested "Positive" for Covid so we are just staying home taking care of each other.

 I am not a Plumber,  I have however dabbled in it over the past on some of the Houses and Apartment Houses and Apartments I have lived in !

Our little House is called a "Bungalo", it was owned and built by the St. Regis Paper Mill,  In 1899, the St. Regis Paper Company built 52 homes, a general store, and a hotel on a manmade island in the Black River and called it Deferiet. The St. Regis Paper Company at one time employed hundreds of Italian, Hungarian, and Polish immigrants, and up to 1,500 people lived in Deferiet. Today, Deferiet is home to less than 260 residents.

This morning I tackled the Bathroom Vanity, the water was slowly trickling out and was plugging up,  I had to work laying on the Floor   on my side,  I had to be careful as this Morning I had my Moderna Covid Booster Shot,  this was my 5th Shot for Covid and 1 shot for Flu Season!

.

I had to remove the "P Trap" and when taking the connector Tube out of the wall it broke off,  I was lucky as there was just enough of an edge to grab and wiggle and twist it out !

.

.

My back is up tight to the Bathtub and laying in front of the Vanity working !

.

.

The 1 an 1/4 inch drain pipe !  Plugged except for a very small area !

Putting back the replacement parts, only had 1 leak, had a plastic washer on backwards, changed it and so far so good,  I am sore and can feel my arm where I had my Booster Shot !

Finished it up finally and here is the results, I hope My "Blogger Shipmate" Jack over at "Shipslog" Shipslog (shipslog-jack.blogspot.com)  not look too close at this and notice some old mixed with New Parts !

Life's Aftermath

Well, The Funeral is over, My Mother In Law has been laid to rest in the Family Plot not far from her Church and Birth Place.       We have gone to her apartment and started the painful task of cleaning out her Apartment.      She was wise and told her nearest Daughter what was to go where and who was to get certain items.

Sad when we leave this old world but we were Blessed as she stayed here with us, was given excellent Care and Love and Passed Peacefully in her sleep !
