Slowing down ?

 I read my Blog Friend Jack's Post and he mentioned about being "Tired" or "Over Doing" !!

We cleaned the Car yesterday, Inside and out,  I went and got the Shop Vac and stood on my Head and  lay on my side and got under the seats, in all the cracks and really got it clean. 

Well, after we ate I was beat, I mean the kind of tired where I got in my recliner, leaned back about 1 and dozed off till 4:30 in time to get up and get ready for dinner.

   I even went to Bed early and had no problem falling right off to sleep after sleeping this hard in the afternoon  !

.

I seem to forget that I am not that young, tireless person who could conquer anything from start to finish !

.

Now I find that after an Hour or 2 of "working/Puttering "around I have to stop,   I run out of Steam !

I know now I have to slow down or I can get into a little trouble !

This is what happens when I over do it now and I hope I am smart enough to slow down !

Warmed up

We had a nice 1 day cool down but the Temps have gone right back up to Hot and Humid,  This is not a complaint, just a statement because "Old Man Winter" is not that far off !

.

.

We had some nasty wind other night and it tore several holes in my Awning, it's several years old so we did get our Monies worth on it,  Probably will need a new cover this fall for next year !

.

.

The raised bed garden has some nice Leaf Lettuce we have been having on our sandwichs and it is good, also handy to pick with out having to bend over,   The vine growing is my Morning Glory and it is about a Month behind  this year !!

.

St. Francis Circle is doing great, all weeded and growing nicely !

"Chipper" is eating well and already can see where he has buried Sunflower Seeds as they have started to Sprout,  They say a Squirrel or Chipmunk forgets in 10 minutes where they buried seeds to dig up later.  The ones they do remember are the ones that they store up for winter food!

The last Cups of Grape Jelly for the Baltimore Oriole's as it is only the young ones coming in now and its time to wean them off so the forage for food,  The Adults have not been around for several weeks !

Lewis County Fair

The Lewis County Fair is always in July and we try to get up there for at least 1 day !  This year we too My Honeys Mother and went "To The Fair" !

.

.

Lewis County is a county located in the state of New York. The population is about  27,000 people. Its county seat is Lowville. The county is named after Morgan Lewis, the Governor of New York.

.

.

.

Our first stop is usually the Cattle and Horse Barns and look over Animals.

.

.

The Black and White Holsteins are my Favorites as that is what we had on the Farm that I learned to milk first by Hand and then learned to use a Milking Machine !

.

.

The next favorite is the Brown Jersey which my Uncle had,  this one is high in Butter fat Milk !

.

.

The Midway was crowded so we went for Fair Food !

.

.

My Meal was French Fries, Polish Sausage and a Coke and water to Hydrate !

.

.

The ladies ate Steak-Um and French Fries !

.

. 

After our Meal we walked the Midway and the Heat and Humidity were so bad we left !  it was over 90 degrees and 60% Humidity !

Whetstone Gulf

 Well, what does one do when it's 92 degrees and Humid,  *  PICNIC    !  We pack the car and off we went for a 40 -45 MInute Car Ride to a New York State Park !     "Whetstone Gulf State Park !  Whetstone Gulf State Park is a 2,100-acre state park located in Lewis County, New York. The park is on the edge of the Tug Hill Plateau, south of Lowville, on the border of the towns of Turin and Martinsburg. The east end of the park is located near New York State Route 26.

Great Picnic in the Park,   Great Day, Even took a couple walks and there was a nice breeze.

Hot an Humid Family Gathering

 Yesterday was 92+ and Humid,  We enjoyed the Day, it was a Good Sunday !    We had a Dinner Planned as My Honeys Brother Marc is here from Florida fort a Visit !

We all sit around the Back Yard in the Shade by the Garage !  It was Hot and Humid but Marc said it was just like Florida !!!

.

.

My Nephew and I manned the Grill cooking Sausage, Hot Dogs and Hamburgers for everyone !

My Honeys 2 Brothers and the other 3 Brothers are in Florida !

.

The Garage was sit up with our Picnic Table for a Meal !

We had Food and More Food, and everyone ate their fill !
