Cooler for New Tree

Well, it's cooled down finally to 75 but still muggy and dry, no rain,  I fin ally got my Christmas Tree delivered this morning !  I bought a Norway Blue Spruce, 8 feet tall not counting the root ball,  I bought it for the new house as I always wanted one so can cross this off the "Bucket List" !!
.
.
I bought the Spruce 6 weeks ago when we bought the house, have been waiting for them to plant it but it is so hot they had to wait and today was cool !
.
.
There were 3 Burly Guys who grabbed shovels and hand dug the pit for the tree,  they quickly had the hole dug,  they threw in some pieces of scrap steele in bottom of hole and then sit the tree in and squared it up !
.
.
The owner of the company is Andy who is the owner on the left kneeling , these guys are all 6 foot tall so the tree way planted and they watered with 3 to 5 gallons of water.
.
.
All Planted, between the garage and Garden Shed. Now have to water it every day with 3 to 5 gallons of water for 30 days till it roots.  The Iron in the hole is an Old Timers thing, but it says on GOOGLE that Iron Chelate helps a tree grow !
.
.
I am standing where the tree is now planted !!!!!
.
.
Mandolin is tuned, clothes packed and I am going down to New Hartford Methodist Church for a 4 day Men's retreat, It will be a great time joining other Men of God and some Pilgrims and eating, Singing and Praying and Sharing Life's adventures !!!!!

Wooden Things !

Well, been busy settling, yesterday was a good day, I worked in  the Garage on some items, a Sailor I made about over 12 + years or more ago, had fun making and giving these away !
.
.
On the left is one wooden Swabby one I made,
.

I think the one on the right looks like * Jack from Shipslog !
.
I am fixing the arm on the one my Brother Made me from landscape timber years ago !
.
.
12 or more years ago when we lived in Deferiet I spent most of my spare time in the garage at 31 Wilna Ave, next door to where we live now at 33 making these !
.
.
Some of the ones I made !
.
.
I made  set of all Branches of the service and these are on display now and have been for the past 14 years over on Fort Drum in Adjutants Office !
.

.
These I made when we lived in Carthage on South Washington Street  !
.

This was the garden area at 31 Wilna Avenue over 12 years ago when we lived in Deferiet ! The picture below is what it looks like now !  We now live next door on the left !
.
.
There was a garden here 12 years ago !  Now just a lawn !  On the right side is our garage !
.
.
This was what we saw this morning while having coffee, we watched her wander around the back yard for a few minutes than she wandered off !  Awesome !  This is my Garden Shed and my Tomato Plants, I picked Cherry Tomato's tonight.
.
Well, it's late, 9:30PM, it was a rough day, spent a lot of time laying down, didn't feel good, probably overdid again !  Gotta  learn to slow down !
.
.
1 reason I didn't feel good today was working on the KIA and laying on hot black asphalt in the sun and also washing and scrubbing down the siding on the house for a couple hours but it got the mildew off and looks nice and white !

Changes

Well today was a rough day,  I had a friend come down with his trailer and we spent 6 hours clearing out the garage, garden shed and basement  of things I NO LONGER USE OR NEED !!   It was rough giving up some thnigs but was for the best,  Saws, drills, hand tools, some old hardwood lumber, Oak, Mahogany, Birch, it was difficult but off it went into his trailer.
.
.
My "Old Blue" cabinet went along with most everything in this picture !
.
.
Pretty much every thing in here came out of our storage unit we have rented for 12 years and it is mostly all gone !!!!
.
.
I will put on some after pics but most of everything here I had is gone also !
.
I should have just left all these things in the storage Unit and saved me some back breaking work of  moving them but we no longer pay a monthly fee for the storage unit, The things are gone and my friend is happy he got a nice haul of treasures !
.
.
We live just across the river from Fort Drum, New York, we see these "Birds" flying around all day, we and most people in Deferiet have no problem with these, the big C-131's and all the new "Drones" we see all day out flying around !
.
.
As we get settled Anna Mae is out taking care of her flowers, shrubs and plants !!
.
.
I am now able to "Do My Thing" in my Garage and not worry about making too much noise an disturbing the neighbor !!  We are still Playing and doing our Nursing Home Ministry with Music, Song and Prayer !
.
We are almost settled, we had some visitors today,  My Nephew and His wife from Georgia are up here, they came up in their Class Motor Home and are staying for a couple weeks, they are selling their home in Georgia and moving to Florida, He served 30 years in the good ole US NAVY !!
.

I am slowly being allowed outside, My Honey has kept a tight rope on me after getting home from the Hospital,  Mainly sitting in the AC and relaxing !!!!  I do quietly slide on out to the Garage now and then !
.

I did go out side this evening and water the lawn, flowwrs and plants, we are slowly getting the inside re set after moving and working around boxes, bags, sacks of thins !

I managed to have a garden, The man who used to live here, Norm Lovejoy and his wife Margaret had a huge garden,  Norm loved tomatoes and as the garden went he changed to 5 gallon pails,  These were in the garden shed, half full of soil and ready for tomato plants !

Unplanned Air Lift

Well, we were moving into the new house, we went to our closing at the Bank on Friday and took ownership of our House, we then moved some more items in, spent the first night in our 'Home" and were excited and busy !
.
Got up Saturday and worked around the house, I started to get sick to my stomach, unsteady on my feet and was not even able to sit, we went to the Emergency Room,  Wife and I waited while Dr. did some tests, made some phone calls and said they were sending me to the Stroke Center in Syracuse to Crouse Hospital.
.
They said I was going right away and next thing I knew I was in an ambulance and with Red Lights and Siren I was transported to a Carthage Fire Department Helipad and loaded into a lifenet Helicopter and off we went to Syracuse.
.
.
This was my Lifenet Copter leaving Carthage Fire Department Landing Zone and heading to Syracuse, drive time is about 1 hour by car,  The Pilot was a Retired State Trooper, 1 crewman was from Dexter and the other from Fort Drum, Great Bunch, I was placed in Headphones and a Mic to enable me to talk,  The smell of the Fuel fumes, the noise of the rotating blades and shaking of the Copter brought back some Memories of Navy Days a long time ago! The flight was a typical bumpy Helicopter flight, I layed flat on a stretcher with feet and legs beside lone pilot and head and torso in back with 2 crewmen, I made it to Syracuse from Carthage in 20+ minutes, landed on roof of Crouse Hospital, Humped down to Emergency Room by a Doctor, and 2 Helicopter Crewmen who turned me over to Crouse ER Doctor Wing.
.
I was treated in the ER and sent to Cat Scan of the Brain and a Ultra sound and sent to a huge ER treatment room, the room was largest ER room I had been in in Syracuse.  Shortly My Honey arrived at Hospital and was escorted to the ER.     They then drew more blood,  injected me with Pain Killers and sent me to a room on the 6th floor Stroke Unit !  The rooms are double bed rooms and I shared my room with another Stroke Victim who had a prior stroke a few years back but was again having issues with Balance which I found out is common !
.
I spent my time going thru MRI's,  Cat Scans, Blood Tests, IV's and Visits by Neurology Doctors and Cardiac Doctors.
.
I was kept overnight and My Honey stayed in the room with me and slept in the Recliner by my bed !
.

.
The next Morning was given Tracers in my Blood and my Prior Surgeries were checked and my Caratoid Artery by pass.
.
I was tested again and I was to be given an MRI of the Head and also the lower Back which was done and I was given Valium *(10mg) for pain!
.
It appears I had to stay another night and I went back to my room and had a new roommate !   He was an older man but not too bad.
.
It was a busy night with shots of Hepburn in the stomach every 6 hours, pills, pain killers and stats every 4 hours.
.
Was awake at 6AM with some shots in the Stomach of Lovenox, some checks of the Heart and Lungs.
It was found I have some Nerve Damage in the Back and left side, and left and right arms and neck, I have to go to PT for 6 weeks of Therapy and back to Crouse in 6 weeks for recheck and evaluation,  so, they sent me home that afternoon !
.
.
This smile is because I am going home after a 2 1/2 day stay in Hospital.  The ride home was rough as the Pain Meds wore off 1/2 way home.
.
It was nice to be back in our "New Home" !!!!
.
I am now waiting for my schedule and script to send me to PT for Rehab !     Lucky so far it was not worse !
.
Sad, lot of Veterans in Crouse, no room at the VA !!!!!!
