Ear Issues

 I posted that I was having some hearing issues,  Well went to Hospital in Watertown and went to the Specialist at ENT for my exam.  and.....

I have fluid built up inside the Ear Drum,  I have had this before and have had 4 Ear Tubes put in my left Ear Drum which cleared up the Hearing !  Not this time!

In the drawing the Black on my Ear Drum is infection there now that needs to be removed.

First they will take me to Operating Room, go thru my Nose and into my Eustachian Tube and Balloon open an area of blockage preventing some drainage.    Next they will go in thru the Ear Canal and put in my 5th Drainage Tube,  I have a lot of scar tissue on my left ear drum.

I have to have Surgical Clearance to have this done due to some bleeding and I will have to go off my Blood Thinners but will need OK from Cardiologist to do so!   I am hoping to get this done as soon as possible in 2023 !

Christmas is almost here and we are ready,  Going to Visit Grand Daughter and Grandson and Great Grand son and Great Granddaughter Wednesday evening for Dinner.

We have not seen our 2 year old Great Granddaughter maybe once or twice in past 2 years due to Covid and Sickness !  Same with 4 year Old Great Grandson !

Found this Old Picture of me taken while in High School with my First Guitar,  It was an "Arch Top-F Hole" which I had for years.     Don't remember what happened to it.  I remember in the Service there was a Shipmate who had one like it and I would Join Him on Deck and sit and Play and Sing till the wee hours !

What'ya Say ?

 I keep repeating that above saying a lot or else I will say:  "Say Again" !!  After my Bout with Covid I have lost hearing in my left ear, this is the Ear I had so much trouble with and had 4 tubes inserted for drainage over the past 25 years, Even after the Tubes fell out I could hear !

This my Hearing test at the Hospital,  Right ear is almost in the Box which they said is normal for my age.  That is the bottom box, the Red line is where it should be !  Mine is the jagged black line !  I can still hear the things that are to my right so have to tilt my head that way or make sure who ever is talking is on my right !

.

The Top Picture shows my Flat line in the yellow circle, it is not even in the square box which is the Range Box.  This red line is where it should be but isn't.  I am going back to my ENT Hearing specialist to see if there is anything they can do !   Maybe a Hearing Aid !

There are lots and lots of deer so the state issued some Harvest Permits in addition to Regular Permits !  These are behind the House !

WELCOME DECEMBER !

 Well, we are in the last month of 2022 and getting ready for 2023.  Another Trip around the Sun or 365 Days,  52 weeks or  8760 Hours.

We have heat turned up to 74 degrees !!!!

I get the honor of putting on the Old Top of the Tree Spire !

The  Cat Tipper takes control of the Tree Blanket and loves the low hanging Ornaments to play with !

The 3 of us have the Tree up and decorations done.

We still have Snow, even after the warm winds, Rain and Sunshine,  Lawn has about 1 to 1 1/2 feet of Snow !

Winter Thaw

 We are currently in a "Winter Thaw",  The Sun is shining, the temps are up in the high 40's and some 50's !  Snow is Melting and we have had some light rain,  The Snow has compacted down from 52 Inches on the lawn to a packy, heavy 41 Inches !  Sow here weighs between 5 pounds and 30 pounds per cubic foot, on the average  !

This is the back of the House directly over the Kitchen, we had about almost 4 feet of snow there but it rained some and got "Packy" and setted and was Heavy !.

There were 2 men across the street shoveling off my neighbor's roof Thanksgiving Day, I holler over to them and asked if they were interested in doing my Roof,   One of them walked across the street and looked at the roof, gave me a Price and said he could come back Friday Morning.  We shook hands and he left.    Above Picture was Friday Morning about 8AM.

They shoveled it down to allow the ice dam on the edge to melt.  the Pitch of the back roof is only 2 in 12 !

 This was looking out the Back with the Garage on the left and Garden Shed on the Right both with 4 feet + of Snow on them !

Today the Snow is gone from the Garage and Garden Shed and my Christmas tree!

Roof is cleared off except for some Ice Build up on the Edge and the Rain Gutter is plugged with Ice,  I made the stick with the Cup attached so I can reach from the step ladder and put down my Ice Melt Pellets !

.

These are the size of a Hockey Puck and really melt ice as the melt and dissolve !  I used them the last 2 years and am impressed with them !

.

My Honey saw these advertised on TV and she bought me a "YOOPER CHOOK" an it is really warm on this old bald head !

.

The front of the House has Slide Metal Panels along the edges and Snow and Ice Build up usually slide off when it warms up !

My Honey going up to Church Friday. looking across the street you can see where I parked the Car, Sidewalk is now bare,  You can tell House in the center had the roof shoveled off and the ones on each side did not !

This is the "Snow Curl" at the Neighbors, they will soon have this in front of the back door on their Deck, Metal Roofs are Nice but this what happens in the winter with those roofs without a good 4/12 pitch !

We are supposed to ger some Rain for next couple of Days so should lose more Snow !    Some "Old Timers: are saying we are going to have a "Green Christmas" !

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

 Hoping everyone had a Thankful Thanksgiving, We did and we do have a lot to be Thankful for.  Health Wise and other wise !  We Truly are "Blessed" !

My Honey has the Potatoes an Squash Ready and her Green Bean Casserole ready for the Stove and Oven !

We are cooking up 4 large Turkey Thighs, we both really don't care for the white Breast Meat but like the Dark meat so we are trying something different this year !

.

Dressing/Stuffing in the Oven and Potatoes and Squash cooking !
