Back in the Saddle
Well, we are trying to get back into the swing of things, in between running to Doctors and specialists tonight I grabbed the guitar and went to meet Karl and Roger from the "Friends of God" and we played at the Carthage Country Manor Nursing Home for the residents.
.
.
We got right into some toe tappers and foot stomping tunes for the residents..
.
.
Karl, Travis, Craig Singing "In The Garden", Roger and me playing.
.
.
We did one from Randy Travis, we sang "Three Wooden Crosses"....
.
Karl and Travis providing music for Anna who came up and sang to the residents.
.
Travis and Roger while we played "Long Black Train"....
.
.
Anna came back up and joined us again to sing...
.
.
We finished playing and the Lady from "Activities" came up and gave us a Certificate of Appreciation for playing every other tuesday night at the Nursing Home, Travis in the Red Shirt is usually there with his father Mark who is always there but Military Duty kept him away tonight, on the other tuesday nights Mark, his son Travis above in the Red Shirt and anyone that wants to join in also play at the Skilled Nursing Unit.
.
We had a good time, I got to see 2 of my Cousins who are residents and also several people who used to live here at West Side Terrace who had to go to a Nursing Home.

Oh man, I know that feels good. What a thrill to be able to entertain folks who aren't able to get out and go much anymore. it is a blessing.
Love to you and Anna mae.
Such a nice thing you guys are doing and I'm sure they enjoyed the little girl. I can appreciate this more since sitting with my best friend from high school a few hours each day to keep her company. She has Lupus and just broke a bone for the third time so is in thearpy (sp)
