Changing Seasons and Life

It is sure changing from late summer into Fall up here, the leaves are changing fast and furious, the wolly bears are just starting to come out and the weather has that smell in the air.

The weather has been fantastic for here for the end of september, we had a high of 80 today and last night we almost turned the air on as it was so muggy.
.

.There are flocks and flocks of Geese in the corn fields and also over head trucking on down south!!
.

.This is our side yard, leaves are beautiful here.

Above is a "Wolly-Bear", my Dad, Grandfather and the old timers would pick one of these up and look at the front and rear of it, if the front had a lot of black it was going to be an early winter, if the rear had more black it meant winter was late.  This guy looks equal so have to check a few more before they spin their cacoon for the winter.

It sure is pretty but we know what is coming.

. This was last winter and i am standing just out side our apartment in December.

 YUP, there is our KIA buried under there, this was last year and the KIA was Green,  this year we have a new 2015 KIA that is White so hope we can find it.

We are saying Good-Bye to the Fun Finder camper, we sold it this morning, I put an ad on CRAIGSLIST and the camper sold right away.   I have too many problems trying to hook up the hitch, sway bars, chains and in unhooking and setting it up the leveling jacks, cranking, hooking up water, electric, sewer, it was too much on me, too much to have my Honey do by her self so we reluctlantly sold it.   Kesara-Kesara.

Geese and Fall

Well, the Geese are heading south, flocks and flocks of them are going overhead, I even woke ups at 3am to hear them flying southbound in the middle of the night.
.
The weather was cool, I did a little Bar-B Q and cooked some Bratwurst and My Honey Anna Mae made a Macaroni Salad, *(my favorite).

The Granddaughter is still here staying, her Husband is in the Air Force serving on a Flight Crew on a AWACS, he does the charts and navigation.  They have some issues and don't know if they will stay togeather.
.

I have not played much due to this Eye Infection, I had eye surgery a while back, now some months later I have an infection of both eyes, they itch terrible, I have been on medicated eye drops and monday if not better am calling to tell them I need to be rechecked as to why they are not any better after a week on antibiotic drops.
.

.This was a while back after my 2nd eye surgery, the current infection is on the eye lids and the only thing that helps is hot wash clothes held on them!!!
.
 
. I played at the Nursing Home the other night, it was a special night and almost didn't play, a lady that always is there every other tuesday night was not there, she was in her room, we played and My wife went down after we got done playing and talked to Bonnie, she was not very good, she said she heard us playing, she was very sick, we found out she passed away later that night after the girls visited her.
.

Hard time seeing so will call it a night, it is very warm here now, temps today were almost 80......  almost muggy at night..
.

Staying Healthy

Well, the weather is cooler, some leaves are changing and another year is coming to a close here in a couple of months.  I went in this morning for my Colonoscopy, Endoscopy and Prostrate Exam.  Had to be at Hospital at 7AM.     My Honey was with me and held my hand!!!

Waiting to go into the Operating Room, hair bonnet is so I don't mess up all that hair I have!!!
.

. 
I have suffered from diverticulitis for years, I ended up having a large section of Traverse and Decending colon removed a few years ago to help with the Infections I get .  I was scoped this morning and all looked good,  very Blessed on that news!!!
.
 I had the endoscopy and had my throat, stomach checked and fou nd I have a slight Hiatial Hernia.
.
My Prostrate Exam was done and that also came back OK!!     All in all it was a pretty good checkup!!!
..

.

3 hours later and after a cup of coffee and some dry toast they let me out of bed to walk and pass gas!!   

.

I made it home and the Surgeon called a little while ago to check up on me and see how I was doing,   Doing OK!!!!

.

Fall is Coming

Looks like we are heading for Fall, today it was 38 this morning, raining and watching the brown and yellow leaves falling off the trees.
.
We have been busy running back and forth to Doctors, going to the Doctors with the daughter as she gets her new Pace Maker, this one she has is 13 years old.

.

.
We lost a young Police Officer, I never worked with him or new him but it is so sad, he left a young wife and 2 children, he worked out of my old area, Hudson Avenue.  He was answering a call to a family dispute and shot before he could draw his weapon.  Just listened to the news and at the New York Pennsylvania border a Pennsylvania Trooper and several Troopers were shot during shift change/.

My Son was home from Portland Oregon and Granddaughter here from Oaklahoma.  from the left.....Son Jonathan, Grandson Brent, Me, Son in law Ed, daughter Sabrina, Granddaughter Shannon, Ex Wife Donna and My wife Anna Mae.

.

. It is coming cooler temps, and they are making Cider, and it is good, a little tart until they start to press Macs and Granny Smiths and Northern Spies then the cider gets sweeter.
.

. Free sample of fresh pressed apples, delicious and it can be frozen and when thawed tastes just like fresh.
.

.Anna Mae sorting apples just in from Mexico, New York apple farms, she is picking out some nice Macks for homemade apple sause.

. This is from our Playing at Country Manor Nursing Home on our 25th Wedding Anniversary.

.I played again at Carthage Area Hospital with Mark Thomas and Karl Blair, this s only the second time I have played since getting out of the Hospital, I did OK !!.
