Ghosts, Devils, Cops, Ninjas

Tonight was our Halloween Party at West Side.  We started early at 1PM filling bags of candy.

We all mixed all the candy we bought together !

We just kept filling bags.

We finished filling 200 bags of candy for the evening, Halloween tonight will be cloudy and Temps about 45 so will be easy on the kids and goblins !

I had the Honor as being the President of the Tenants Association to pass out the candy this year and greet the kiddies and parents.

My Buddy came all the way from Washington to see if he could get some votes !!!!

My best one of the night was after handing this little guy some candy he said, "I Love You" ! no idea who's child he was but he made my night !!

We even had some teenagers, well behaved and really dressed up !!

Residents were getting tired after 2 hours of kids coming and going !!

We are almost done for the evening,

We served almost 200 children in 2 hours and had a great evening.
 .

First Snowfall

Well, we got it today, October 27th about noon, got some rain and temps were 34, we went to Watertown to Eye Doctor for me as I need new glasses.

This is the back lawn and gardens, this is a Hard Male with its leaves still on, the Soft Maples have lost theirs.

The flowers have "Bit the Dust", today's Snow and last nights frost got them.

We did see a sight, it was a Flock of white Snow Geese in a corn field, late ones heading south.
.

Everything is set for Winter, Grill all set.    Hopefully can get in some hunting as need some fresh Venison for the Freezer.

I will be so glad when this Election is over !!

Fall is Fading !

Well, we have enjoyed SUMMER and also FALL, but as the leaves change colors and drop off the trees, in moves the rain,  the Swamps are dry, not a lot of standing water, hunting season coming up fast and so changes in the weather.

We have had 3 days of rain, lots of rain, rivers are high, creeks are high and the Swamps are filling up and we have our first Winter Advisory Posted on TV.
.

.
The rain has soaked into the ground but not changed this Artisan Well located on Humphrey Hill, this spring runs almost year round and the water is cold, clear and you can see where there is a pull off area in front of t to park.
.

.
With the Swamps filling up with water, wood being cut for next year, Deer Season now open for hunting our Winter is not far off.
.

Lake Placid is just about an hour and a half from here and they got SNOW today. 
.

.
Old Forge is about an hour from us and they got it today !!   Tomorrow it is supposed to stop the raining and Snowing, we have already had Snow Plows and Sanders out tonight, our Temps right now are 36 degrees.
.
Hope everyone is getting settled for Winter, by Tuesday and Wednesday our overnight lows will be in the low 20's !!!!!.
