Well, we are getting winds of 40 MPH, blinding Snow, temps of 24 to 31 degrees, freezing rain, so we are inside!! Well we figured out the best way to fight the winter dole drums was to cook !
.
.
I pulled out a 16 pound Turkey, cleaned it, basted it and threw it in the Oven at 325 and let it cook for 4 hours.
.
.
My Honey whipped up a pot of Mashed Taters and Butternut Squash and Gravy !!
.
.
Some Cranberry Sause and Butter and we are set for late lunch !
.
After Prayers we enjoyed a Delicious Lunch !
.
I then sent my Honey to her recliner while I did all the dishs, put away all the left overs and cleaned up the kitchen !
.
I put the turkey on a platter, I then took 4 large paper towels and wet them in water, covered the turkey with wet paper towels, this keeps the turkey moist when you slice up meat!
.
I did fix up a plate full and take it down to our elderly neighbor George, he was speechless at the size of the plate of fresh hot food, George usually has Hot Dogs or a canned meat for his meal or Cereal !
.
.
Rest of day spent in recliner digesting all this food!!!!!
.
Don't forget, Remember our Vets !!!!!
