last night before dark we had 2 1/2 inches of rain and it rained all night, we now have almost 4 inches of rain, it is damp and cold !

The "Swamps" are filling up, There is an Old saying My Honey says, my Dad said and Grampa says "Snow comes after the Swamps get full" and right now the swamps are full of water and mud, and tonight they forecast Snow in the upper Adirondacks about 3 hours from here !

There is still lots of leaves on the trees and not a lot of leaves have fallen off, It is almost Deer Season here and hopefully there will be some winds to knock the leaves off !

With all the rain I have been down in the basement checking the walls, so far so good, no water coming in as I need to put up rain gutters to divert the water away from the house ! Above we currently have it shallow ditched to divert it away and as you can see there is lots of running water coming down off the roof !

Looking out the front window there is a lot of running water going down the street, one nice thing is we are elevated on the street !

Time for another Patrol of the Garage, Garden Shed, Basement to check things out, I need to move and get the circulation going, got my trusty flash light to see by, My Honey is using the exercise room we are setting set up now !

Looks like you guys are handling the dreary weather. Neat haveing that nice basement for the cold coming your way. Well at least that is what I hear happens up that way. Whe coldest weather we ever lived in was North Missouri. But only a few years.
BUT tonight my girl took a blanket to the GGrands ball game. Her team was tops for the year, they won their last game tonight and I must say She plays a good game.
We were just in the basement and I noticed the furnace came on. Time to think of Florida!

Our Furnace has been running steady, we have it shut down to 66 degrees at 11PM and come back on at 6AM. Was talking with a friend of mine and he said he has friends who live in Deltona Florida! He was a papermaker up here !! Name is Lynn Wood.

We have had more rain here in WI than any other fall in history. At least in the Green Bay area...and more coming later today. We are usually leafless by this time and this year some of the trees are still green here and there because of the heat and rain.
I love the plug for the vets. I volunteer at our local VA and love it! Diana
