Good Bye 2022, Welcome 2023

 Well we welcome in a New Year soon, like in an Hour and 15 minutes,  Want to wish everyone a very "HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEARS ",   We are gonna call it a Night,  Church Tomorrow to start 2023 off to a good start !  Hope everyone had a Great Christmas !

"BLIZZARD OVER"

 Blizzard is over but "Storm" is still here,  we have aver 45 Inches of fresh Snow in the Back Yard,  The Wife has helped overboard on the Shoveling and Neighbors have kept us open !

This is the 4th time My Honey has shoveled off the deck and stairs,  11 inches, then 14 inches, then 8 inches, and then 12 inches this afternoon in addition to doing the Front Steps !

The Big Snow drifts from the Roof and the Pile of Snow shoveled off the Deck !  I have already hired a contractor to Shovel Roof when this Storm ends,  They extended it another day and have Shut Down the Military Base next door to us !  Fort Drum !

This is me standing in the narrow Street,  Wilna Avenue behind the "Snow Bank" that lines both sides of the Street.  The streets are supposed to be by Law 25 feet wide,  ours now with the Snow are about 18 to 20 feet!!!!

In between the Snow Bands the "Sun" came out, it was out for about 20 minutes and some blue sky then the old black dark clouds came in and it started Snowing again !

I am super dressed, have on my "Yooper Chook" to cover my head and face, Insulated Coat and 2 pairs winter pants and wool socks and My Wool lined Leather Mittens !

Still "Blizzarding" !

 I don't know if "Blizzarding" is a word or not but it is now !   Still Snowing, Blowing and the Temp now at 4:30PM is 8 Degrees and cold,   I have only been outside to open the door and throw out some Bird Seed for the Poor Birds trying to eat to stay warm.

The Cardinals, Juncos, Blue Jays, Assups, Mourning Doves, Blu Jays, Tuffted Titmouse and Wood Peckers are swarming the feeder !

This is Tanner and Bridgets House across the Street, just able to see it thru the Blowng snow !

This is out back inbetween the Blowing Drifting Snow which they say now might last till Tuesday !

My Man Travis Shampine came this Morning and had to use the Plow to Break open our Driveway as it had 4 feet of Snow plugging it !

Driveway was cleared out this Morning, now at almost 5 O clock it looks as full as it was this Morning !

Anna Mae finishing up shoveling off the Deck and Stairs,  I couldn't go outside as it was Bitter Cold, 11 degrees,  too cold for my lungs !

While the wife was outside I did dish's, Laundry and made some delicious sugar cookies and decorated them !  I love Sugar cookies !!!

"Storms Brewing" !

 Well, we woke up to 46 degrees and a light Rain !   It was a quiet morning, slight breeze with the Rain !  We watched as the clouds grew darker and the rain turned to SNOW and the Temps went from the 40's down to 31 degrees and the Winds increased to about 10 to 30 MPH !

SO:  I am inside for next couple days due to the "BLIZZARD" we are going to get,  I decided to make my favorite, "Sugar Cookies" !

While I made Cookies My Honey went and checked what Presents they were under the Christmas tree !

First Batch of Cookies out cooling, Tomorrow will decorate them !

Right now at (:30PM it is windy, snowing, drifting and very cold at 7 Degrees above Zero !   COLD !!!!

"Hold on to your Hats "!

 That expression above is one of the ones my Father used when there was a "Storm Approaching" and we have been bombarded with Warnings and special broadcasts about the Possibility 4 days of Storms !

.

We have got Bread, Milk, Eggs,   Turkey is Thawing for Christmas dinner, Pantry in Cellar is stocked, Freezers are full !  Car is gassed up and parked in the Garage !

.

We are calling insurance Company and Medicare and Doctors and trying to get this Ear and Throat Surgery done !

.

Last Night was Great,  We picked up Pizza, BBQ Wings, Mild Wings, and 2 Large Antipastos and went to the Granddaughters for Dinner and we had a Great Time !  Loud, Busy and Fun.
