Camping

Hoping to get in some camping this year!!!

.

.In February we bought a Shadow Cruiser 19 foot Camper, they had to plow a way into the lot when we went to pick it up in February
.

. We have had a lots of campers but usually leave them set up on our lot we had on Lake Bonaparte but we left there after 25 years.
.

.
We towed it home and stored it at our daughters, and when spring came we opened it up, plugged it in and set our stuff in it, most of which came from our former place on Lake Bonaparte.
.

.
We took the new KIA down and set everything looks good, only problem is I cannot hook it up to tow it, due to my health issues I don't have the strength to lift the receiver and am unable to put on sway bars, My honey can't lift due to her back.
.

.
We are set to Travel I hope as soon as I feel strong enough to hook this thing up and go!!!!!

.
The farthest we ever towed was we went from New York to Florida, spending a month on the road going from New York to Myrtle Beach to Georgia then on to Florida!!!  Loved it but had to go back to work after a year off!!.
.

.

.
For now, we go down to where we have it stored and sit under the awning and hopefully we will get some use out of this little Jewel.

Memories

Well, not much going on here, I had a Heart Monitor on after the ole ticker started missing a few beats and Anna Mae was in the Hospital with this Bug going around, had to call 911 at 3am after she passed out in bathroom, severe dehydration.  Anna Mae spent a few days in hospital and I had a Nuclear Stress Test on the heart.   We are a good match for each other.  We are still around and kicking!!!
.

.
The rug rat in the above picture in the circle is me, I went to the Pond Settlement Public School, this group is grades 1 thru 6.  I remember going outside to the "Out-House" in the winter and going thru several feet of snow, doing your business as quick as possible and making a b line back into the one room school house to stand near the bug round oak wood stove in the center of the school room.
.
I can still name just about everyone in the picture.
.

.
The above picture I found is me as a senior in high school, the dog is "Laddie", a nice collie.  Good dog but got shot by neighbor for chasing deer during hunting season.
.

.
The above picture is me with my very first Guitar ever!! I was in the 9th grade in the above photo.
.

.
The above picture is of me and one of my Grade school friends Mike, I was in the hospital up here in New York and Mikey lives in Georgia, I was in real bad shape, Mike came up to see me as he thought I might not make it, he stayed with me till after surgery and he knew I was gonna be OK,  we have called each other for years, always only a phone call away, not much either one of us would not do for the other,  well, Mike has the big "C" !!!   Mike has Cancer and a short time left............Mike is only 66, his birthday is April 15 but he does not think he will make it!!!!
we went thru school togeather, graduated, mike went in Air Force, spent most of his time as a Radio Repairman in Bilouxi, Miss. then worked and retired from the Telephone company several years ago. I went Navy, we kept close for over 55 years, Man says no Chemo, no radiation as cancer is too far along!!!    So, So Sad!!!

Winter Still Here.....BRRRrrrrrrrrrrr !

I am still around, I read the "Ships Log, Jimmy's Journal, and others but have a hard time posting, I do a post, put up pictures, post it and somewhere there are several posts floating around out there in Cyber Space.
.
.Well, we are still in the grip of Old Man Winter, right now it is snowing and blowing, winds about 20MPH and the  temp is about 28 but wind chill makes it feel colder. We have been doctoring and patiently waiting for "Spring"!
.

.If Spring does not come soon I am gonna have to get me a "Ski-Walker" !!!!!!
.
I had to have eye surgery 3 weeks ago, I developed some type of a "Fatty Cyst"  on my right eyeball, I went in and had it taken care of, very uncomfortable as they have to partially move the eye out of the socket, they inject your eye with a freezing compound before they remove the cyst, then as I am on blood thinners and asparin she had a hard time stopping the bleeding but a cat gut stitch did the trick, just waiting for the stitch to disolve, had my recheck today and most of vision is back !
.

. The local Churches take turns doing Nursing Home Services so Anna Mae and I took some of our youth Group on our  Sunday and did the Church Service at the Nursing Home.
.

.I did the Scripture Readings, we sang some old Hymns and everyone there enjoyed the Short Sermon and Service.
.
Tuesday Night I spent the evening and Morning till 5AM in the Emergency Room, I had to get my irregular Heart Beat back in line, scared me and terrified Anna Mae but we are doing OK now!!!!
.

.In the middle of the above picture is an American Bald Eagle, as a matter of fact Anna Mae and I, several other vehicles stopped on Rt 126 and watched about 15 Eagles scavanger a freshly Spread manure field.
.

. Some more Eagles resting in the trees!
.

. The best picture above of the Eagles, we sat and waited and watched them for over an hour but what an awesome sight to see them gathering to pair off.
.

. Above we were joined by Ken Hockey with his Harmonica  when we played at the Hospital Skilled Nursing unit!!
