UPDATE'S

Well where to begin !   First MY Honey is Blessed and still Cancer Free,  Tomorrow Morning it's off to the Hospital for her yearly Tests !

With all the Aches and Pains we decided it was time and we Put our little House on the Market and had it listed for Sale,  It sold in 2 days and we hopefully have a Closing towards the end of September  as we have moved into a nice Apartment back in the Village we moved from! Its closed to Doctors and the Hospital!

.

I fell back on March 11 and hurt my Hip, Knee and pulled Muscles and it didn't seem to want to Heal,  Finally I went to a specialist, after blood work, an MRI, x-Rays and Cat Scans I have some issues with Bones in my Hip and upper leg..

.

The Specialist sent me to the Big City and to Upstate Medical Center where they found some suspicious masses on my Bones and in my Muscles.  I am scheduled for Surgery on September 7th to see what the Mass is and see what they can do once they open up the area and can see !!

.

Good to see my Blogger friends still Posting,  I have been lax at doing so.   Just feel like the BLAHS !!

We enjoyed our Visit and my Sons wedding and Flights home were OK !

Right now it is time to get off here and take some Meds !

VACATION

Finally got away, We are in Portland Oregon in a place called City of "Wood Village"  !

Time Marches On

Seems like the weeks are flying by, Its already after the 4th of July and we have had some hot weather.  We have gotten up to 93 degrees with high Humidity of 75 to 80% !!!

This years "Something Different"  Garden, we used some old steps and 3 gallon plastic pails !  You can see some lettuce coming up and Tomatoes on the top tier !

.

This is the "Garden" this afternoon after some really much needed Rain, we got about 1/2 inch of rain twice today. 

.

.

Bean Blossoms and Bush's Blue Lake Beans starting !

.

Leaf Lettuce is still coming along nicely and tastes great on sandwiches ! 

.

Sweet 100 Cherry Tomato's are starting about the size of a Nickle and looks like there will be plenty of them !

.

Still going to Physical Therapy and working on getting leg, hip an knee back in shape.

Time Marches on !

Well I am still in Physical Therapy twice a week for my back, hip and leg an knee !   I hurt if I move a certain way but I think there is improvement !

.

The main Physical Therapy on my Hip and Leg and Knee is I get in the above Tank and they fill it with warm water, in the bottom is a Treadmill and I walk a total of .26 tenths of a mile in the water to help the muscles.   I do a few exercises on a low table with a therapist helping me Strech the muscles in my thigh and knee !

Looking thru some old Negatives I came across this Photo of August, 1974,  I was getting ready to Graduate from the Police Academy,  If you notice I do not have a Badge Pinned on me yet and my right hand is covering up the fact I do not have a Revolver in my empty Holster, these are issued upon receipt of your Certificate issued by New York State at Graduation which was a matter of an Hour away !

Smokey Days

We woke up earlier this week to watery eyes and sore throats and I had a "Wheeze" while breathing.  Our air was thick with acrid smelling smoke and small black/brown particles and had a yellowish tint to it and the sun looked red !

.

This is a Google Photo of the Fires in Canada about 300 miles from where we are and the Northern Wind has been blowing this smoke down here into New York State and over us !

Downtown Watertown and the Sun was Red at Sunset on this past Monday thru Wednesday !

We got a break and the Winds shifted and cleared out our Air !

I am still having Hip and Leg Issues and going to PT they have a New Aqua therapy Machine where you get in and they fill it with 4 feet of warm water and you walk on a Treadmill for about 30 Minutes,  it really is a work out !!!

My Bride cleaning up around my Sisters Stone and planting some flowers !   Very Dry and we have not had much Rain !

We are staying cool so far, our Temps are in high 60's and low 70's so far but there is lots of "Black Flies" out around to Bite !

Old Timer's Gardening an Family Respect

Well, it's almost summer and Memorial Day has come and gone so that only means 1 thing,  "Gardens" and Gardening !    I am at the age now that after 2 falls and sprains and a hair line fracture of the hip I can not "Bend Over" nor if I get down on the ground and sit It is almost imp[ossible to gwet back up on my feet!

.

We had to think about this when we were driving over to Post Office and saw in front of a House a pair of steps, about 4 feet long with 3 steps, we stopped and talked to the fella who was in the Military and was rebuilding his porch if we could but the steps,  He said "NO" !  but we could have them !!!LoL !!  Not only could we have them as he saw we didn't  have a truck him and his son delivered them !

We got the steps up on the deck and secured.

We went to the Garden Shed and brought out some 3 gallon  Dunkin Donuts pails. 

.

.

We have fresh Lettuce for sandwichs now,  the Beans have sprouted and the Cherry Tomatoes on top have rooted !

.

The Deck Garden is Done and growing !

.

.

The old Garden out back now has Sweet White Onions planted on the end and the other end in Lebanese Squash, *Koosa), I was lucky as the Wife helped get this all Planted !

.

We went up to Champion and the Wife planted flowers on her Mothers Plot,  This Plot is the "Waite" Family Plot, the Big stone lists the Parents an names of the 19 Children, some of whom are interred here.

.

.

In the Champion Cemetary we have purchased and have the Deed for our Final Resting Place,  It is the flat white Concrete Slab with no Head Stone on it yet.  Don't want to use it for a few years yet.

We went to Pond Settlement and visited my Parents Lot, John and Ethel Wood and pulled a few weeds, my Brother who lives near by does the flowers.

Our last Stop was South Edwards Cemetary, Standing I can see my Great Great Grandfather Silas Wood an wife Laura,  Next to them is his Brother James Wood and Elizabeth,  past them is my Great Grandfather John Wood and his wife Addie,  In front of Him is my Grandfather Silas Wood and his wife Margaret.

Paid our Respects and headed Home !
