Sad Day

Deferiet is a small Village,  I think about 250 People live here, streets are narrow, some don't even have sidewalks,  No Stores, no post office, and a river runs thru it !   Everyone knows about 1/2 of everyone who lives here.    We lived here once, moved away for 12 years and then moved back.     Across the street from our house lived Henry Bailey.    Henry worked at the local High School as a custodian,  when we lived here the first time Henry would Snow Blow and shovel our sidewalk and drive way.

.

.

Henry lived right across the street, this is his house and Garage,   from a summer picture, No one has seen Henry so we called the Police for a welfare check.

.

.
Troopers arrived and tried the front and Back Doors, then came over to see me and I advised them that I had not seen Henry for probably a couple weeks but this was not suspicious as it is winter and people stay in for periods of time, but Henry had not brought his Trash out this  week  so I advised them of this !
.
.
Trying to see inside the House !
.
.
They found Henry sitting on his Sofa, he had passed away watching TV !
.
Life is unexpected and one has to enjoy today and live it to its fullest !
.
.
Don't forget our Veterans !

It is good to know neighbors and great when folks know each other enough to at least notice habits. Yes it is sad, but he went the way a lot of us want to go without lying like a vegetable awaiting an end.
Wishing you guys the best and good health. That is also one of the sad truths of living alone....
Love from down here.
Sherry & jack sending hugs you guys way
