New Year ahead

The weather has sure changed, we were sitting inside looking outside at over 50 inches of Snow, today we look out at about a foot of Snow and can see green grass but we do have 3 to 4 foot "Snow Banks" from the roads being plowed!  It has been up in the 40's and some rain !  Think it's going to change !

We have lost a lot of Snow but there is more to come as it is just the start of Winter !

Oh Well, it's the North Country, if you don't like the weather just wait a bit cause it will change !

We enjoyed our New Years eve, we went to Church and had a Coverer, Pot Luck Supper and at 7PM we watched on the big screens the movie "I Heard The Bells", a story of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. One of our members Daughter worked on the production of this show.

Sitting here looking at Pictures and this was one of our Rentals in Buckhead Ridge on Lake Okeechobee, it was a nice 5th wheel Camper set up on a Rental lot we rented for 5 months, We pair $600 a month, water, sewer lights included.   We were here for a few winter, fished a lot, cooked out a lot and visited My Honeys Mother in Okeechobee.

This is a better view, this was a nice place, beautiful front porch and a Small shed to Tinker in !

This above was our second Rental for the winter in Buck Head Ridge, small 2 bedroom on a canal on 8th Street with the Canal having a boat House and it was great fishing !  We Paid $800 a Month fully furnished and all utilities included.

This was another Winter Rental we had, this was on 32nd Street in Okeechobee and was also on a Canal, had a Boat House and a nice 18 foot Pontoon Boat,  This was a 2 bedroom fully furnished and we paid $800 a Month with all utilities included.

Out on the dock in front of My Honeys House in Okeechobee !   Her house was on a Canal and food fishing !

These Crappie were cleaned and froze up for a later feast, caught these in the Canal !

These came out of Lake Okeechobee on I think our last Winter in Florida,  We had a large Fish Fry and right after this Mess of fish the Fishing Regulations changed on size and limits !

Loved the entry NOT the weather! great pictures. WQish you were still making the trip south, but I guess we all have to stop sometimes. Just deciding the WHEN is a biggie.
I know these Crappie are the BEST fish for frying and eating. We miss fishing, we very seldom take the time, and we know we should...
