Lots of Turkey

Well we have lost our warm weather, it is now down to a high of 28 today, but we have lots of sun shine.   It is that turkey Season again, we had a full turkey dinner here at West Side !!

.These Beauties at the United Methodist Church Youth Group with their Leaders who cooked and prepared our Turkey Dinner and served us at our tables.

.Everyone standing around waiting for dinner in the lobby near the Shuffleboard.  Sitting in the chair is Russell, he is a WWII veteran, behind him is Howard, USMC, plaid shirt is Bill, retired Army, Tall man is Darrell, a Pastor..

We had a delicious meal, me and My Honey sitting with Jean, Jean just came back from Canada where she went to sing with her Choral Group and came in 4th place.

Wayne, US Air Force Veteran, Dennis who is a British Citizen, Nathan who has lived here at West Side since it was built 26 years ago.
.

.The desert table had Pumpkin and several kinds of other pies for us to enjoy.
.

.Dave and Grace and Betty, Pauline and Jim, Dave and Jim are both Veterans.
.

. The turkey was moist, the stuffing and squash and taters were good also and homemade gravy, we had plenty of left overs left for a luncheon.
.

Jim and his neighbor Ellie, Ellie's husband was hunting deer.

Howard and Bonnie, Howard was in the U.S.M.C. and likes to look mean,  Semper-Fi!! The meal was delicious, the desert was awesome and we were waited on hand and foot by the Church Group and are so thankful they took care of us, and we gave them a nice donation for cooking, serving and cleaning up for us.

We joined Mark and Karl and I played at the Country Manor Nursing Home and entertained the residents.
.
Don't forget our Veterans this Holiday and everyday !!

What a great group of volunteers. It is nice that the volunteers, like yourself, can also be served.
You guys must have a ball, the variety of lives lived now, retired. this is a great post and Anna Mae is looking good.
