SICK

We were both feeling a little off, My Honey work up coughing and so did I,  Later on she she was so bad I dialed (911) and got an Ambulance and she went to the Hospital ER.  I dragged myself out to the car and drove over to the Hospital, went into the ER,  and a Nurse said you look pretty rough, I was coughing and she then put me in a room,  My Honey was in stall 4 and I was down in stall 8 of the Emergency Room !

Anna was Treated for Influenza Type 1 A and Bronchitis and a Lung Infection and bad cough !

.

I was also was Treated for Influenza Type 1 A and Bronchitis and a Lung Infection and bad cough !

.

We were both given an IV, Heavy anti biotics, cough drops, Anna Mae was released first and then later I was released and our neighbor came and brought me home !

.

.

Because we both have a strain of Influenza Type 1 A we have to wear a mask, this way we will not spread our Germs around the Housing Area,  they are some really elderly here we do not want to get sick.   We both are doing a lot of Coughing, I have cold chills and so far our friends have been great for us !

.

We are really getting hammered with SNOW,   Everything is closed, Roads closed, No Tractor Trailers, Buses, Large Vehicles allowed on Interstate 81 or 87 nor on the Thruway!!!  Some roads right around us are closed due to the snow.    On the second floor here our friends apartment has snow hanging off his roof so I got this picture between the snow on the entry way and hanging down !

Looking out our window can just barely see the storage buildings and the Bird feeders just out side the window !

Right now we have gotten about 2 Feet of new snow and the Temperatures are just between 2 degrees and 8 degrees !      Can't wait for Spring !!!!!

.

Weather is so bad they are going around and picking up the Homeless, Veterans, and anyone and taking them to Shelters !!!!!!

.

COLDER

Well, right now it is already BELOW Zero, It is cold all over.  This is a "Dangerous Cold" !   I went to the Doctors on Thursday the 24,  I was referred to Dr. at Pulmonology,  Checked and given a Breathing Treatment, *ARUNITY ELLIPTA once a day, very powerful medication but some serious side effects, I started it Thursday, started coughing very badly, cold chills, sore throat, I took it Friday and Saturday and kept getting worse and My Sweet Darling started coughing,   One of the SIDE EFFECTS of the ARUNITY is (Bronchitis) !!  W E L L,  I called the Doctor this morning, told them what was going on and we jumped in the car and went to Watertown,  (15 Mile) trip,  Doctor pulled me off ARUNITY, Home and bed rest, Cough Drops,  Hot Drinks and Bed Rest !  for My Honey also is sick !!

We have a *STORM coming in tonight about 10PN and going to last till Friday, a 4 day storm,  Bitter Cold,  maybe 2 to 3 feet of MORE Snow !!!     YUCK!!

One think we will be doing is watching the Bird Feeders !! Above is Goldfinch and Male Cardinal !

As you can see I had quite the "Belly" on me,  this was before I lost the 65 pounds.

This was us down on the South End of Lake "O" where there are many, many "Wild Hogs"  all one has to do is find a Hunting Preserve and usually Owners will let you go hunting just to get rid of the Pigs,  find a Cane Break, Palmetto Bush's and do some Grunting and rustle the branches and wait and a Hog will walk out into an opening !

Nothing like a clean Kill,  I used my Stainless Steel, 38 Cal, Snub Nose to take this Hog down.  It did not go to waste as the land owner will keep the kill, clean it and keep the Meat !

.

Well, Back to reality, both *Coughing, hacking, and tired and feeling Run Down,  watching the Temperature drop down to about 5 below zero at 7:30PM !

BIG SNOW STORM

Well, we have gotten Hammered here,  I know I post a lot about Winter but there is not much else to do but watch it "Storm" !

Tim Smity, one of our 2 Maintainence Men snow blows our emergency egress path around the Building,  The Building Codes in New York State require this exit path and also requires all front and rear doors to be cleared of snow or debris at all times!

Above is the Federal Mandated "Smoking Shack" showing the recent Snowfall.  We have 5 Tenants out of 64 that Smoke, can not Smoke inside the building,  I am the "Fire Marshall" and I enforce this Rule,  3 Violations and they get "Evicted" !

Winter Rain

Well, it has warmed up and is almost 40 and RAINING !  Some places are getting freezing rain, roads are bad and it is supposed to get colder !
Hope the weather holds off, I have a Doctors appointment finally with a Pulmonoligist to get these Lungs checked, I have coughed up Blood and have sore ribs. 
I think the problems was a breathing treatment I was using !   But will see.

My Honey's Sister out in Oregon sent her a game called "Qwirkle" and we have been learning to play it to relax in the evening !   This game is also good for my Old Brain as it helps with some issues I have after my stroke !

And, She has beat me all 3 times we have played !!!!!!!!!!!

.

Well, gonna be an early morning so it's almost bed time here, listening to the Rain is nice!!!!!!

Winter Sports

Well, Winter is here, SO, I am getting right into thee Winter Sports !     With the few days we get sunshine I go all out for "Sun Basking",, it is a sport where I get in my recliner,  lean back and 'Bask" in the sun from 2PM until just about 3:30 PM,  it is fun, quiet, warm and relaxing !

As you can see I do this Basking Task rather well !!!

.

.

I also engage in "Bird Watching" as well and sometimes the Snow get too much on the feeders outside the window.   I really hate to have to walk outside in the snow ad cold to clear them off SO:

.

.

I open the Window, push my Broom Handle with a 4 foot attached Garden Stake attached and knock the Snow off the feeders from "Inside " the apartment.

.

.

But when all else fails, My Darling Honey goes out and will clean them off and she actually likes to Shovel some snow, not a lot, just around the feeder !

.

As Winter starts Stay Warm, active and Don't forget our Veterans !

WINTER

Today is a "Special Day",  Today is Jack Darnells, (Shipslog) Blog Birthday, he claims to be 80 years old,  Does not look it !!

COLD STILL

Well, it is still COLD, - 12 below zero,  sitting here in my chair with a wool shirt on, cold comes right thru the windows, poor insulation on them, poor quality workmanship !
