Well, things were going pretty good, watching the Birds, relaxing and bored and nothing unusual, I work up not feeling good May 31st, we rode over to my Doctors Office, went in without an appointment, he was informed I was there and the nurse put me in a room, Dr. Ashraf came in, looked at me and felt my pulse and told the nurse to get a wheelchair and take me to the Emergency Roof ! So off we went.
.
Blood Tests, EKG, X Rays and CT Scans and I was admitted to the ICU unit, had several IV's put in, put on Nitro Tabs, an IV solution of Iron and Magnesium and Potassium and confined to bed.
.
.
After 3 days of fluids, tests and inspections, detections, injections, and rejections I was allowed to have my feet hit the floor! I had some Angina, X-Rays showed that I have 3 (Depressed) Vertebrae between my shoulder blades and I have a lower bulged disc pressing on nerves !
.
I suspect that I must have recently done something to them like falling or moving wrong, They brought in a Bone Specialist and he examined me and said that my Spine due to my age had finally gave way, nothing I did, just the wear and tear he said, He asked me if I had ever fallen or injured my back.
.
Well yes, I explained I had fallen a few times when in the service.............
.
.
I also explained that I had fallen and been kicked, punched and suffered a few bruises to my back as a Policeman !
.
.
I explained I also had been out in the elements a lot in bitter cold weather !
.
.
.
Taking a "Bite" from K9 dog FOX !
.
.
I was on a BRAT Diet for several days, (5) and was starving.
.
.Above Picture was my diet, Iron and Meds !
Well, we changed some heart medications around, there is not much they can give me for the spine except I am going to Physical Therapy who said there was not much they could do !
.
Well after a week in the Hospital, some new medications, some reduction in Heart Medications I was allowed to eat !
.
.
I was given a small steak, potato's, Milk and Coffee, it was delicious, I lost 7 pounds while in the Hospital !
.
I am home, tonight I went to the Nursing Home and played for a while for the residents who enjoyed our time there !
.
.
I took it easy and didn't overdo !
.
