There are literally hundreds of different types of tubes, inserts and material they can insert into your ears, usually this is done as a small child, well I am a small child as I have had a few !
.
I have gone to Ear, Nose and Throat for a long time, Dr. Hillerman a wise old Ear specialist checked my ear. saw some infection and put in my first small "Tube".
.
.
This is what an ear tube looks like planted in the ear drum, close to the bottom of the ear drum so the infection drains out !
.
Over the past 20 years I have had numerous ear infections, and 3 more "Tubes", the last Tube was a T-Tube which was supposed to last a long time but fell out after 2 months.
.
I went for years with a slowly growing scar tissue to cover the Holes in my ear. About 2 years ago I started losing my Hearing in my left ear again, I had to go have a hearing test and it showed me deaf in left ear and 25-30 % loss in right ear.
.
I was then allowed to go to ENT as my insurance would cover this 5th insert in left ear and 1st insert in right ear.
.
.
This is what they put in my right ear and for some reason wants to bleed !
.
.
This is the New "Triune Tube" they put in my Left Ear, this is rather large due to there being so much scar tissue which is why I had to have it done surgically in the Operating room Thursday Morning, I have Drops to put in it so it drains away the infection I have and will stay in hopefully a long time !
.
So, it's keep water out of my ears, keep them stuffed with Cotton after the Ear Drops and go back for a check up to see what progress I made !
.
Being I was a Good Boy in Surgery, this is what we had for Dinner tonight !
.
.
Medium Rare Prime Rib, Salt Potatoes, Green Beans, Tossed Salad, Marook Flat Bread and Au Jus !
.
.
As you can see I did a pretty good job on the Prime Rib, I might not hear too well but I can still eat !!!!!
.
Have a Good Weekend,
.
Don't forget, Remember our Veterans !

I want the meal, but for dang sure want to skip the tubes. I was fortune that my only problem was hearing loss. You have been thru the mill with the tubes. But glad you can hear. AND of course the meal was good, and a sweet nurse helps bunches.
Love and recovery prayers from down here.
