Winter Comes and Goes

Well, Winter is back, it comes and goes now, not like when I was a kid it seems,  I remember in December there was Snow when December came, I can remember in November hunting Season was either cool an cold for good hunting or Warm and Lusy Hunting and then December came and Hunting got really good !!

Hunting Season Starts in November, It's nice that I live not far from the Woods and Village Limits and near hundreds of acres of Military Land !

Meat for the Freezer !

On the way to get cut up and Packaged,  this little doe was just right !  The Wife's Cousin is a Great butcher for doing Venison !

Cut up, Wrapped and Marked for the Freezer for winter which will help the Cost of Meat going up and up $$$$$$$  along with everything else !!!  The Green Tag I am Holding is my Doe Permit to take deer from an overpopulated area !

This picture looking across the Street was taken about 10 Am as it started to Snow here in Deferiet !

This was about 5 hours later, we got just under 6 inches of Snow and it got colder !

Christmas Tree up, Decorated, some Presents under the Tree .

Dinner tonight was Breakfast,    Slab Bacon, Eggs cooked in Bacon Grease, Buttered Grits, Toast with Blackberry Jam and P Nut Butter and Cranberry Juice !!

We have lost Power twice and so Thankful we have this little Gem sitting outside,    This will run the entire house !!!!

Bird feeders are cleaned out, filled and we were blessed with a Pair of Cardinals, They usually come into the feeders just before a storm an first thing in the morning and last thing at night to feed.

We are both getting ready for a "New Year" soon !!!
