Family Time

We have been very busy with Family Time and Doctors.

Above is my wife's Uncle George Waite and his wife Rochelle, surrounded by his children, Grand Children and Great Grandchildren, Aunt Rochelle just turned 80 and George is 83, They had a great party and large crowd gathered !  George Waite is one of the 17 Waite Children !!

.

.

Me and my Uncle Paul Waite, Paul just turned 80 and we went to his Party up in Turin at the teak and Brew, Paul is another one of the 17 Waite Children !

.

.

This is my Mother in Law, Irene Waite Astafan,  she is one of the 17 Waite Kids, she is a young 85 and is moving back to New York from Florida !

.

.

This is my Uncle Herb, Herb is also one of the 17 and his brother Ernie from Hawaia !

Herb is 97 !!   Ernie is 80+!!!

.

.

Above is 10 of the 19 Waites, there was 19 but 2 died shortly after birth !  Ernie, Sarah, Irene, Paul, David, Herb, Duane, Ellen, Martha, Helen. Missing was 5 other kids, 2 of the 17 have passed away!

.

There was 13 in my Mothers Family and they are all passed away so I adopted my wifes aunts and uncles and they like me !!!  LoL !!!

.

.

The next party was one at my daughters, This is me and my Great - Grandson Aiden Andrew Naklick !  Aiden is growing up fast !

.

.

Me, Aiden and my Granddaughter, it was hot, this white enamel tub was one my mother used to give several of us a bath in while growing up, My daughter and son were given a bath in it, several nieces and nephews also were given baths!!!

.

.

My Daughter Sabrina, My Honey Anna Mae, My son in Law Ed, My Ex Wife Donna, My Granddaughter Shannon and Great Grandson Aiden !

.

.

Can not forget the Grandson Brent !!   Just graduated, going to Jefferson Community College this month !

.

Monday I went to Syracuse to UPSTATE Medical Center Stroke Center, I was checked, inspected, detected, injected and found some deterioation on the left stroke side but not a major loss !!!!    God is Good !

.

Outside work

We are still working, cutting, pruning and raking up the front of the house and almost where we want it to be !
.

.

I now have my "Flag" up and flying in the breeze, feeder is where I think it will be this fall and winter and easy to fill !

.

.

My Honey with Saint Francis "Flower Garden" which is growing fast enough to have to trip back !

.

.

The feeders are full, birds are plentiful, we also have a pair of Osprey, a Bittern and lots of Hummingbirds !

Lazy Akers Day

It was a nice start to the day at "LAZY-AKERS", up early for coffee,  Outside we saw a momma deer and her baby spotted fawn walk out of the woods and parade around for us long enough for me to go grab the camera and get a picture of them !
.

The Doe came out right after her "Spotted Fawn" came out to make sure she went back into the woods !

.

.

The Fawn came out first and Momma was right out after her while she was enjoying the green grass!   Nice Show while having Coffee !

.

We took it easy today and went grocery shopping and when we got home it was time to relax!!!

.

. 

The cooking rack hanging on orange post is beside the ring is for "Cooking", you are not allowed to have an "Open" fire in the village but ours is for Kooking !!!!!

Finally, we had our first "Outdoor Fire".

Taking Flight

Well, I got the "Drone" out last night and went thru the steeps on becoming a "Skilled" Pilot !

The audience was My Honey and My Mother in Law up from Okeechobee Florida out on the back deck watching the "Show" !!! LoL !

.

.

On the lower right is my Blue Spruce, Garage and Our White House, on Left is the State Troopers Garage and wooden fence my little white Garden Shed and Tomatoes in white pails!

.

.

The green Garage and Green House was our former House over 12 years ago !  

.

.

In the top of the picture is parts of the Former St. Regis/Champion Paper mill, I worked there part time in 1966 but could not get hired full time.

.

.

This was my highest elevation for before I started yelling "Mayday, Maday, KID2384" going down and I ended up in the spruce tree at my neighbors about 30 feet up in the spruce tree !

.

.

I was stuck in the tree overnight then my neighbor was able with his Ladder to get the "Drone" out of the tree !

.

Have to get farther away from the trees!!!!!!!

.

Day Light Fading

It is sad to see the daylight fading so early,  I like the long days of Daylight,  It is 8:23PM and Dark !!!  I would rather have it get dark at 9:00 PM.

Oh Well just adjust !

Tonight I cooked 2 of "Eddie Bolivers " Spare Ribs, these things are huge, I cut them in 2 and end up with 4 large pieces  of delicious pork !  My "Blue Spruce Tree" in back of me is I hope taking root !

.

It was delicious with Tomatoes and Fresh New Potatoes !

.

.

The "Morning Glory" is growing pretty good, there is still a pair of "Wrens" in the bird house, they are Jimmy and Jenny Wren and they have just 1 baby in the nest in the brown one on the end, this little brown and green bird house was my Dad's, He would have been 111 years old on the 8th !

.

Well it's 9PM and almost Bed Time, another reason I like longer days !!

.

Shelf Up

As I stated, I found the perfect Board, not Broad,  My 1 x 12 cedar board is up and I am sorting out some more things and have got the wood sorted that was over head in the garage !
.

.

The shelf is finally up, it has the red milk crate sitting on the end of it above the table, I was worried it would be in the way of the vehicle this winter !.

.

.

Once I move the white table down in the cellar for winter will have lots of room !

.

.

I have been working on my "Lazy Akers" sign my Brother John made me years ago !  As we have went back to owning our own place, Lazy Akers gets worked on and hung back up soon !

.

Boards, not Broads

Well, a nice surprise today, up early, off to the garage, while carefully rummaging around over head I saw a board,  a wide board, well, as I am making shelves in the garage because I hate cupboards where you can not see anything I like my mess out where I can see it !
.

.

Now most guys would think I am crazy getting excited about a Board and not a "Broad" !  LoL !

This was up overhead in the garage, almost not able to see it It looks shiny because it is wet from spraying !!!!

.

.

The mess that was,  Most of this has now been sorted, put into place, probable get moved again and maybe again before it finds a home !

.

.

This I found after spraying it lightly with water is a "Cedar", it has a nice cedar smell to it and has some saw marks in it and lots of knots so it must of been a big Cedar Tree  it is 12 inch's wide, 8 foot long board, very few of these around today !  It looks shiny because it is still wet, I covered it with wet paper towels and put a fan on it to blow it dry so it did not warp. this is going to be one nice long shelf !

. 

Tomorrow I found out is Saturday, I thought it was thursday !    Oh well,  Early Bed tonight, my nap was interupted by a teriffic thunder and lightnng storm ! Things are going good here, I have found my "Lazy Akers: sign my Oldest Brother John made me years ago and am touching it up to hang back up and Offically this place will become "LAZY AKERS" !!!!

Great Day

Well, was up early so off I went to the Garage and worked on my shop !   It was hard to start as there was so many options so working with a big green monster of a work bench that came from the paper mill years ago I started to "Get Er Done" !
.

This is the north end of the garage, this is the picture of the garage when we looked at the property, the green work bench which weighs a ton is on the left side of the photo.  most of this stuff went to a friends house for his use, the cabinet on the right was full of screws, nails, bolts, etc, etc!!

.

.

Work Bench moved, rearranged shelves, sorted paints and items that came out of storage for the past 12 years, paints, stains, sprays all good !

.

.

Getting things put away and sorted was not too bad, but the Lawn Chair did get a work out as I did sit a lot !!!!

.

.

The right side of the garage, Dremel tools and bits, sander, skill saw, circular saw, drills all survived the 12 years in storage,  I did lose some nails and screws and misc to rust for some reason, I had them in plastic sealed containers but the ones that cracked rusted!!

.

Tomorrow will get back at it as I have some projects I want to get done !!!!!!!!

.

Back at it

Well, we mad it back to Carthage Center,  The residents were excited and happy to see us, it has been a month since we have played and sang there for them.
.

.

.

Mark Thomas and I played sang, I joked around and I did get a lot of laughs and I enjoy it when I tell them things I know will get attention !!!!

.

It was a great night and will be back there in 2 weeks to do it all over again !

.

Getting HOME

Well, I am HOME from my 4 day lock in "Men's Retreat",  It was a reat 4 days, My Honey Anna Mae was there working n the Kitchen cooking for 27 men.    It was hot in the Church but I found a cold little room I used as a Chapel for Prayers and Preps for Men giving Talks !
.
I talked about 'Piety" and it was a rough talk, I got thru it !
.
We sang, Prayed, ate, sang some more, Prayed, Had Communion several times a day, 
.

.

I went to bed Thursday Night at 2 Am, Hot and a back ache,  We are woke up by a "BELL", a rather loud bell at 5AM, we go directly to the Chapel and Pray .

.

.

I enjoyed the Men I was with, most of then were on VDC Walk 21 and some of them were on Walk to Emmaus Teaming which are also 4 day Prayer Weekends !

.

Back home and sleeping in my own bed, not a blow up mattress and I have my Honey with me !  

.
