Rain/Sunshine/Rain

Well we have gotten some rain, then some sun, then some rain right now,  but it is getting warmer !  Got the Riding Mower Back this afternoon all spiffed Up for the Mowing Season.

Got the Grape Jelly Cup on a Painters Stir Stick duct taped up,  got the Orange thickly sliced and hanging in the Suet Feeder, Humming Bird feeders hung and now just waiting for the arrival of the Humming Birds and Baltimore Orioles !!

Sitting inside in-between the Rain I looked and saw an "Osprey" fly over going from west to east and it had a Fish in its Talons,   The picture above it from the Internet and this is almost what it looked like !  We see it often as they had a nest not too far from our street.

Having some TV Issues had to call Spectrum and have them come and get the System back on line !  Nice young man hooked us up !

.

Now to settle in and go down in the Basement and work on a couple projects I need to get done for outside !!

Back up an Running !

 Well, back up and running I guess, I replaced my Laptop with another new Dell Laptop, this is my third Dell Laptop,  all the same Model, Inspiron 15 3000.  Only thing different on this one is no internal cooling fan so have to be careful on how much running time i spend on it ! Not a bad thing !

Old DEll on the right, New one on the left, My iPad is the white one and my Fire Fox Kindle and I just replaced my Cell Phone $$$$$,  But back online !

One of the first Jobs was to get the Garden ready for spring Planting and I had our Local AGWAY store come down and they Rototilled it for me for a reasonable fee,  I can no longer run a roto tiller !

All rototilled and weeded and now to get the Seeds ready for Planting, this was Sundays Picture and today it rained a misty rain all day !

.

Some of the seeds we have for planting, others are in Basement soaking to soften the husks !

My Honey cleaning and putting the Solar Lights together after getting them out of the Cellar from Winter storage !

I got the Deere out and took it up to my Neighbors to have him tune it up from Winter Storage and sharpen the Mulching Blades !

Spraying off the Dead Bugs off the grill and soon will take this sweat shirt off as it is warming up !

My Honey weeding and picking up the front flower beds !

I had to put in New Rose Bush Stakes so put some Green Paint of these Hard wood stakes !!

My Honey has St. Francis flower bed cleaned out and ready !

House "Wintered" pretty well so glad, with the Cost of Gas and Food and other things going  up it looks like will have to "Tighten the Purse Strings" as my Dad would say !

New Computer?????

 Currently setting up a New Computer,  Frustrating but slowly getting this Old Brain to function and get there !

Spring Snow Storm

 Well, We got a Spring Snow storm and it was a good one !!  we got between 5 to 6 inches of wet packy snow, Great for Snowmen and Snow forts and with it inbetween we got an inch of snow and rain on the rain Gauge !

The back yard now instead of Green is ow White covered with over 5 inches of snow,

We had visitors in the back yard, here is a picture,  of 2 of the 7 deer wandering around feeding on the new fresh Grass !

Settled in for the Snow Day I hunted up last falls Gourds I grew,  They are small but I think they will be great for the small Wrens looking for a nest !  So I got to work in the Basement !

.

I got out the "DREMEL", it has been stored for about 2 years in the Case and it was all right,  fired it up to work on the Gords, they are fragile but sturdy once opened !  The last Gords we got in Myrtle Beach lasted years !

.

.

I got to work on the 3 Gourds !

.

.

Very gently I cut the circle for the entrance, and cleaned out the paper like material and the seeds !    If you plant these gourds it takes the seeds over 3 weeks to germinate and start to grow I saved all the insides of the 3 gourds and will plant them soon inside !

.

"Tipper" had to sit get confortable and watch me while I worked on my Project !

Done with the 3 Gourds ! All the holes are 1 inch, this way it keeps the Sparrows out of them !

Easter

 Easter is coming,  quiet time this year for us.   We have had Children, Grand Children, in the Pasr, now we have Great Children !     But this year it was just us and a few Eggs and "Yup" !  We colored them ourselves !!

We have done a couple dozen in the Past, this year it is 6 !!! 3 for my Honey and 3 for me !

Duck Feet

 WoW,  We have gotten some Rain,  we now have gotten 1 1/2 inches of rain in last 2 days that shows up on the rain gauge !

.

.

One good thing about the Rain is that it dissolved all the Crabgrass Killer I spread !!  It was a nice sunny day but a very Bitter Wind and cold,  I wore my heavy shirt outside and also in my Office at the Legion this morning while catching up on some paperwork !  It is Election of Officers this Month and Installation of Officers in May and Once again I have been nominated for Historian and Public Affairs Officer!

Right now at 1945 hours it is clouding up and can see some rain drops on the sidewalk !

.

Sadly My wife's Aunt June passed away in Okeechobee yesterday, passed in her sleep while in Hospice, she was 85 years old !      Nice Lady and always treated us well !

.

.

Lunch was Pizza, Black Beans and Rice and Root Beer,  Later it was a nice couple hour Nap in my Recliner in the Sunshine !

.

Hoping it starts warming up soon, We are waiting for the Barn Swallows to show up as thats usually a sign warmer weather is coming, we do have some yellow dandelions which means the Bullheads are biting !

Spring has Sprung

 Well, here is hoping that Spring is here finally and warmer weather and sunshine is just around the corner with some nice sunny days to enjoy !

.

I have been on some new Medications and 1 I am just finishing up with tomorrow my last Pill for a while and the other Medicine was a Breathing Treatment that caused more problems than it helped,  but, all things considered I am doing Great !

.

.

Got in the Garden Shed, hooked up the Battery on the John Deere and put the key in the ignition and the Old Girl fired right up,  drove it outside and around the lawn then got the mower out and the Spreader out !

I spread about 25 pounds of "Crabgrass Killer" and fertilizer on front and back lawns !

Nice being outside with just a T Shirt on and some Sunshine !

Nice to be outside finally after a long Winter !

I have had to cut down on watching too much News and World Events as it was causing me some undue Stress but it is another "Repeat of the Past" !      We need to Pray !
