Cancer Sucks

My Brother Jim who is 90 and almost 91 and me were both fighting Lung Cancer, had Treatments on same days and same Doctors!

This is Jim,!!!!

Jim Passed away as his Heart Gave out!   The Cancer weakened him to much !

.

We will be going up to Edwards Monday for his Funeral !

.

It will be a buzy day as I have my Final Radiology done on the Cancer in my 8th Rib on Monday also !

Unusual Winter

Well, February has sure turned out strange, we have had snow, rain and warm temps up in the 60's .  Usually February is way below Zero and bitterly cold !    Today I noticed it was almost 45 degrees !  Wonder if it's Global Warming !!

.

This Cancer treatment is rough right now with my hands and feet numb and prickly like they are asleep.  I called the Cancer Center  where I am getting my treatments and was told its part of treatment.

The picture above is how you get Chemotherapy, nice recliner, Hot Tea, and TV!

Above is the Chemotherapy Drugs you get to fight the Cancer cells,  I was low on Magnesium so I was given some by IV !  Before your treatment you have Blood drawn and Tested !

Above is the Port all the Chemo, Meds, and drugs go thru into your body,  there are 2 lines off the Port which goes to the Heart and Neck !

Winter Hum Drums

 Well it is half way thru winter,  It has been a strange one as we have had Temps warmer than Florida on some days,  Next wek it is gonna be in the 60's.

.

Usually the Snow would be up to the Snowmans head !

.

.

This was a January Snow Storm !!

.

I have a hard time typing this out as my fingers are numb along with my feet an toes hurt !   It is from the Chemotherapy!

.

I am not doing much except sitting in my recliner and thinking about things,  "Memories"!!

.

I saw of the Shipslog Blog Jack chats about Memories,  Shipslog (shipslog-jack.blogspot.com)

The Chemo I hope is attacking and killing off these Cancer Cells that have invaded my Body !

.

I enjoyed my Birthday and turning 77 Trips around the Sun !  My Surprise was me Son flew home from Portland Oregon to wish me a Happy Birthday !  We all went out for Dinner. 

.

It is too hard to type so keep blogging and Posting as I enjoy reading them !

Careful !

Up early, My Honey dressed my feet, Got my clothes and helped me out of bed.   Then it was off to the Bathroom with the walker, did my duties and when I turn around " I FELL" .  I went over Backwards and landed on the end of my Spine and butt and hit my right shoulder.    Scared my poor Honey as I had to lay there for a while to get my bearing and get up,   I just missed the edge of the Bathtub from hitting my head,  I was "Blessed" !!

So it's Ice Packs and heat packs on the spine,   Monday we could not go to Blood work and Chemo due to 3 - 4 feet of Snow and the County closed the Roads.

My appoint was changed to Monday at 7:30 AM and I will be there !

Streets are Private here so the 4 employees each have a job to do, Streets, Sidewalks, Snow Banks, and Driveways and they do an awesome job and we don't pay for it !

It just  took only about 2 hours to get enough Snow to cover him up to his Chin !

BLIZZARD !!!!!

 Well, sitting here wrapped up in my warm blanket I have watched it snow for the 2nd day in a row and we are getting hammered.  I am gaining some strength back in my knees and hands but it's slowly coming along,  I still need help getting out of the recliner and dressing my feet.  I am posting pictures of our storm that we are getting keeping my mind occupied !!!

Cancer Sucks

 Rushed to Hopsital Wednesday in Afib.  In  ICU dor 11 Hoursw and sent to room !  put on IV's and Heavy duty drugs,  Spent 7 days in ICU,  

Released today and came home,  Very tired, weak and its hard to walk.

 Lots of Cancer Drugs, also I have Afib and Pneumonia in left Lung 1

.

.

Kept blowing the IV as my Veins were weak but we got one!

.

.

Going Home !    I enjoy reading all your Posts !

UPDATE

Hello:  Still here !  Reading your Posts and comments,  I have no Visitors so they don't spread and germs.  Very careful on diet and exercise.    Exercise is limted as I have to strength at all.

.

.

This is mainly what I have, I drink 2 bottles a day,  I eat lightly and often.

.

.

I also get to enjoy 2 Milk Shakes, 1 afternoon and 1 at night !     "YUM""  !

.

.

I have lost over 25 pounds and am trying to stop losing anymore.  I am tired most of the time and all my joints and muscles are sore and lame and ache.

.

CANCER IS CRUEL  !

.
