Getting there

Well, the Bleeding from the right ear has stopped, Still have that sick to my stomach feeling,  I am doing my Cardiac 5 minute walks 3 times a day,  I have an Antibiotic I put in right ear for 30 minutes twice a day !

My Honey is taking good care of me,  Feel good today, Doctors tomorrow morning to have ear checked,  Relax Wednesday Sept 2nd,   It is our 31st wedding anniversary!
.
Thursday have Doctors appointment in Morning with Cardioligist for follow up on Stent Placement and then with my GP for my regular checkup !
.
Anna Mae has had to go on a daily eye Medication, she gets 1 drop 3 times a day in her left eye, Something about the Cataract Surgery and a issue with healing.
.
We are taking care of each other and doing great, Oh I forgot, The Car needs Brakes and Rotors all the way around (4) $$$$$$$   !

Health Issues

Well, Woke up Friday Morning with my right ear bleeding, couldn't hear and in Pain,  We had to go to the big city, (Watertown) as My Honey has a left eye issue after her Cataract surgery.  Her eye is bloodshot.  We plugged my ear with Cotton, went in and she went to the Eye Doctor and  now has some strong drops to use.
.
We then drove up to ENT, I didn't have an appointment but went anyway,  Walked up to receptionest
and told her my name and showed her my ear where it was bleeding,  Well, out came a Nurse, one of my Favorites, took my arm and down we went to a procedure room where I sat down.
.
The Doctor came in, leaned my chair back and removed the packing from my ear and said, "WoW" !!!     He asked me how long it was bleeding and I said I woke up with it all over the pillow,  He put on his goggles, started cleaning and sucking up the blood with a tine vacumn tip inside me eat,  He worked a while and then flushed it, said my Ear tube was intact, the bleeding was comng from my inside middle ear, doesn't know why,  He gave me a Bottle of Heavy antibiodies  and put them in my ear 3 times a day !
.
I go back on Tuesday to have another ENT Specialist look at it to see where we go from here. 
.
When I had my Heart Cath they gave me 2 units of pure Hepburn which is a strong "Blood Thinner" but he didn't think that was it!     Ear is sore, plugged and still getting some blood when I sit up and the Medication runs out.

Yard Supervision

Still on Limited Duty,  So I went with my Honey today to retrieve 1 on my Fathers Rose Bush's that has been at West Side where we used to live.  It has done remarkable there and a shame to move it but we did.

This is an Old Rose Bush that was in my friends raised bed Garden,   Easy to dig out, wore heavy Duty  gloves, transported it to Deferiet !

.

My Honey dug up this flowering Red Shrub as this is where we are going to plant the Rose Bush !

.

.

There, now there are 2 Rose Bush's together in front like we wanted to have !

.

.

The bush on the right of the Bird Bath is coming out when the Neighbor gets home a they also want it for their yard, they are coming to dig it up later !

.

.

My Father's "Tea Roses" he grew, these are from his original Plants he bought back around 1930.

.

Going Slow

Well, My exercise Plan is 5 minute walks 3 to 4 times a day at Level 1,  there are NO Cardiac Rehab Offices Open due to this Covid !  Then move to Level 2 at 10 minutes 3 times a day !  
.
The Deck is done as far as construction and repairs, while we were gone friends came and finished putting up the Lath and nailing it in, It was a surprize for us, Dan and Sandy are friends of ours,  Funny, some of the Friends we thought were close turned out to be not so close and other friends grew closer at times,  we really do not have a big circle of friends outside our Church Family, We don't frequent Bars and I am taking a break from being an Officer in the American Legion and we do not go to the VFW or the Elks Club.

This is what I came home to after 3 days in the Hospital, Great Friends,  funny as friends who we thought were close never even bothered to call and see how I was doing or how I made out !

Surprises Happen

Well, well, working on the Deck and around the house I started feeling some issues a couple weeks ago,  I just brushed them off as just the way it is.  We went into Town, shopped and ran errands and went up to Church,  I started to feel light headed and had some chest tightness!   Well as long as we were in town we shot over to my Doctor and went in, He came out to see me and said to go to the Emergency Room !   They put me in a wheel chair and over I went.
.
In the ER I was checked, they decided to send me to Syracuse to St. Joseph's Hospital by Ambulance which is over an Hour Ride down but closest one with Heart Surgeons. It was Wednesday night.
.
Got there, settled into a Room, Tests and Blood work, Doctors in and out and after consultations at 11PM I was scheduled for a Heart Catherization in the morning, Thursday ! 
.

.

In the Morning, Thursday bright and early they came and wheeled me down to the Operating room, prepped me and we had the Heart Catherization,  The Cath revealed I had a 75-80% Blockage on the RCA, a Stent was 40% blocked and another Stent 10% Blocked.  The smaller blockages were fixed and a New Stent was placed in the RCA, this made Stent # 13 in the Heart and hopefully fixed the problems.  I was taken back to my Room and as I was sedated I slept a lot till the Nurses came in to get me up walking !

.

Due to Covid, There is NO Visitors and Family Members are limited to 4 hours of visitation so I was by Myself Wednesday Night and Thursday,  My Honey came down and got me Friday Afternoon when I was released from the Hospital !    Right Now I am home taking it easy for awhile.

The Deck

We are back to the Deck this morning, t is cooler, down in to the 70's.

My Honey is right at it Nailing on the Lath  I am cutting which is a Pain to do !
.

.

I measure twice now and cut once, I used to measure once and then cut twice and it would still be too short.

.

.

This corner was Stained, cleaned, was worked on and the lath cut and My Honey nailed it up !

.

.

This end near the drive way is cut and tacked up and ready for stain, it wasn't too bad to cut if I went slowly !

.

Next is the 2 77 inch long front panels to go on !

.

.

Ends are done, need staining, then the front panels and its only got the top to stain !

.

.

Have to decide if I am going to brush the boards or paint them !   Probably Roll them slowly so to get good coverage !!

.

Back to the Cellar

Well, we had a Heart Doctors appointment today,  had a good check up,  It is high Temps and Humidity today so took it easy in the recliner !   relaxed, did a Blog post after going to Stewarts Store for Ice creme cone.

Doctor said I looked good and was doing good and he liked my Shirt !  Have to go back in 2 months !

.

.

My Honey is painting the Exercise room in the Cellar or as some call it the Basement, I grew up calling it a Cellar, My Honey grew up calling it a Basement.  The neighbor calls it "Down Stairs" !

.

.

The left side is the Navy Grey I mixed My Honey is Painting,  on her left is the Light Green she is covering,  Most houses had a lot of places painted this color Green, it is a very common color in Paper Mills this light Green,  It made lighting better, was a calmer color and not only was walls painted with this color but a lot of Machinery in the Paper Mills I was in were this color.

My Honey is right there at the end of the wall in the exercise room finishing up and it looks good where she painted !

.

.

Last area to do is from the chairs and my work area where we have to move everything out of the way and the back wall behind me and the shelving unit has to come down and out to paint behind it !

.

.

Got the Slop Sing back up and functioning and works nice for clean ups!.

.

Time to go outside and watch for "Shooting Stars,  its the Perseids Meteor Shower!

Waite Family

We went to my Wife's Mothers Family Reunion. Had great food, talked to a lot of Family and a feast to eat and snack on !
.

.

There were 17 Children in the Waite Family,   This was a few years ago on the original Family Farm ran by the Waite's for 105 years !

.

.

There were  3 boys who could not make the reunion. 

.

We ate, talked and they gave away the Door prizes. *(I WON) !

I won a Basket of Cheer,  Scotch, Rum, Whiskey, Wine and Rye.   a wine holder with glasses,  cork screw, napkins an stopper.  I won hand Knit Coasters, a Campbell Soup metal box of reciepts,   Now I have to find someone to give away all this stuff.

. I have not had a drink in many years of Liquor,  I do now and then have a Glass of beer poured over Ice Cubes.  I might drink a glass of Sweet Red Wine but thats about it.  

. It's a hot humid morning again so we are going back to the Cellar and Paint.

Back to the Deck

Well, we felt better so we went back to working on the Deck out back.
.

.

We worked on the Spindels first, we each took a section and was able to stain front and 2 sides but could not get the back of it so had to do that from off the deck !

.

.

The hard areas My Honey stained so the stair carpet didn't get ruined by me slopping paint on it !

.

.

We got right down to catching each others areas we missed a spot or 2 !

.

.

Right side done, left side not done yet, looks good !

.

.

About half the deck stained so far, we have to now cut and put up the lath under the deck once I find small enough nails or brads to put it up with !

.

Tomorrow is a Break Time day !

I hate Hornets and Bumble Bees, Have a little Phobia about them, always have.  Well, the neighbors house has a nest of "Yellow Jackets",  Nasty things,  I dislike them !

.

Well I was walking down my driveway outside and next thing I know I got popped in the left hand, on the cheek and on the back of the neck, man oh man did they hurt !   I ended up in the Emergency Room, they packed me in a room as the Hospital was full, they put me on amonitor and watched me, my heart rate was 135 and blood pressure was 191 over 105, kind of high.Hospital kept me a few hours on a monitor an gave me ice packs and after my numbers came down they sent me home !Not Bad today as we worked on the Deck again !.

We are getting it done slow but sure !

Catch Up

Well, we been busy, We took everything out of the Garage that on the floor, moved what we needed to and hosed out the floor or  dirt and sawdust and crap.  Done a pretty good job and floor looks good !

.

.

There was a reason for our madness, our local Appliance Store got their hands on some 7 cu ft Chest freezers and we managed to get one of them, will be here Thursday, we have moved the shelving unit and it is going right where that is and the shelving unit went to the side of the work bench !

.

.

Had a nice Visit with My Brother Ronnie, he lives in Florida in Palm Coast Florida and is up visiting Family, Ronnie is a Nam Vet, and earned his Purple Heart !   Yup, He's a Marine, I'm a Sailor and we get along pretty good !!!

.

.

Liked our Visit and Ron is off to Buffalo and then on to Florida !

.

.

This Sun Flower now has 21 blossoms on it, we didn't plant it, a squirrel did or a bird dropped it and we watched it grow now knowing it would have this many heads on 1 plant, it is still sprouting blossoms and amazing to watch.

.

It is still dry, was cooler today but still humid !
